Oda already faked the destruction of the sunny once and it was already super cheap when he did it the last time. This time we see the gifters exploding an unguarded sunny. There is no reason the ship could survive. They literally confirm that the ship was destroyed. It just doesn't make sense for the ship to not be destroyed

"But Franky's dream"

we know that Franky has a dream to create a ship that can sail over the world. Who's to say that the sunny is that ship tho. Furthermore it wouldn't really make sense for the sunny to be Franky's dream ship. If it does then that means that Franky would have accomplished his dream back in water 7 when he made sunny. Elbaf is coming up and given that the giants are obviously capable of making giant ships and elbaf has some sort of special tree(Adam), I think it is very likely that Franky's dream ship will be made at elbaf.

beyond that, the sunny just isn't that great anymore. Coup de burst was great, but we all saw how the sunny did in WCI. It is absolutely nothing compared to a ship like the queen mama chanter, which would have obliterated the sunny if not for Wadatsumi. The merry was replaced because it was too weak. The same can be said for the sunny

I think it's just damaged (still sails ) but Franky will say he no longer has the wood to fully repair it.

I recall reading about legendary trees and Nordic story.

So maybe the sunny becomes a reason to go to Elbaf.

As for seeing what the Sunny can do, we really have next to no idea about the Sunny's full functionality if being straight up honest.

Difference between Merry & Sunny is that Sunny is created by Franky and is being worked on by Franky who will surpass Vegapunk in technology. It's an evolving ship. Merry was created by a normal shipwright.

The sunny is a nakama, maybe it even gets more panel time than Chopper ir Brook. Anyway that was just like if somebody shotted a SH, he seems to be dead and the very next panel Oda switches to another situation like nothing happened. The chances rhe Sunny is destroyed are less than 0. And anyway after chapter 900 I can not be bothered to care about it.

I didn't really expect someone to actually believe this, much less that Sunny isn't the ship that will fulfill Franky dream. You are kidding, right?

After, all the trouble Sanji face alike and Kuma went through during the ts to save the ship, you believe its gone up in Smoke just like that?
Remember Going Merry, which like even when had no future( the very part that is backbone of ship, got destroyed), Still had a very dramatic ending and Oda started foreshadowing that since Skyisland.
And Sunny, that is supposed to be Franky dream got destroyed by no Buildup by few unknown fodders?
I am not believing that.

This is another of fake tension from Oda. Even characters are hyped as being defeated or killed by Oda many times. It's the same as that.

The disgusting birds confirmed the destruction of the ship to Orochi. They have visual confirmation. It would be a bullshit infinitely worse than Chapter 901 if the Sunny wasn't destroyed.
