But they are still far from being able of beating Kaido or her, even less the two at the same time. We have only seen the visible part of the iceberg of Kaido and Linlin's powers.
And I doubt that Oda would have insisted so much on her connection to Elbaf and to the giants so much for it to not be used onscreen in the main story.

Big Mom is not going to Elbaph lmao, Oda won't have her present for 300 chapters it is not happening. This battle is also ending this night by the dawn.
Some guys here were once adamant with the idea that the raid would fail which is literally unlikely as of now with Onigashima moving to Wano.
Oda already set Wano's ticking clock with Onigashima being thrown in the capital but some still in denial and actually believe it will happen... Bro if Law couldn't remove the citizens from the bird cage you guys really think he is moving a entire city off?
This isn't WCI. Oda literally did 80+ chapters of build up for this battle literally called this week's chapter the DECISIVE battle, they won't fail, of course this battle is just a long way from its finish line many twists will still occurs but this is it. Oda won't hit reset after 90 chapters in a Arc, stop. He intends to make Luffy pirate King in the next 4-5 years and Kaido's declaration by the end of this chapter only make it clear.
This is the climax of Wano and it's time to accept it.

or maybe he is still covering Rocks up as much as he can?

Zoro cuts Promethues. He showed fire cutting technique that most expected to be his Wano battle final breakthrough to overcome King, so casually.
Zoro also tries to cut Kaidou, and Oda put emphasis on him using Enma to full potential hinting that he will be successful in cutting Kaidou in the fight ahead.

Katakuri under BM when he fought Luffy.
