You just inadvertently gave us a way that Kaido can be taken out of the equation without him being killed. If Kaido gets OKoed and Law hacks him to pieces and they scatter his body all over the New World, then the threat of Kaido exists no more. In fact, we did see something similar to this pre timeskip, and Oda loves to parallel events of preskip.

Chopping him to pieces with Ope2 nulls the necessity of him being KOed first, isnt it? But i guess Kaidou's body will be too strong to be affected by Ope2 cut or Shambles, if Oda needs any reason to scurry around Ope2's haxx in Kaidou fight.

I don't think Law can cut a Yonko to be honest. Because if he can then Law would have become Pirate King already. He still have Gamma Knife which should be the only technique that can injure a Yonko.

Actually, the more that I think about it, the more it does make sense within the confines of the narrative of Kaido's character, and would be poetic justice. All he wants to do is die, and could you imagine if he gets his head cut off, or even hacked to pieces, and he comes to the realization that he is still alive? It would be a living hell for him.... Cut to pieces, yet still not able to die.... 100 percent something I see Oda doing...

Well of course he's not actually immortal, but I wouldn't be surprised if he could live for hundreds of years as a result of his devil fruit.

Yeah, once he exhausts all his stamina, he has to resort to using his lifeforce to create a room. It was stated on Dressrosa I believe, during the Doffy fight.
