How can Mihawk be WSS and never faced :
Cracker
Vista (until MF)
Smoothie
Fujitora
Wano samurai

These guys are all 30+ living in NW.

Him also living in paradise doesn't help
It seems like he got the title via propaganda, people remembered that he fought Shanks , when shanks became Yonko, they just gave mihawk the wss title to boost his warlord status or so.

This is why I even believe mihawk fought Shanks (who was a supernova) in paradise ...shanks was at best inbetweener.

Same thing with Zoro
The dude has been fighting trash swordmen or sword users and winning

He should have been fighting Cracker, smoothie, king, then shiryu
But nah
His only legt fight will be shiryu and maybe King before facing gorosei/fuji

You forget this young shanks was before shanks lost his dominant hand as a swordsman
Doesn't matter. That Shanks was clearly untested against the Yonko. For him to have become a yonko six years ago it means he continued to wrack up more achievements and infamy after he lost the arm.
He didn't become like Chinjao who went into a decline after losing his drill head.

but in the manga is very clear than mihawks want fight agaisnt something which are the same or stronger than shanks
Mihawk wants to fight a swordsman stronger than Shanks. Kaido and Mihawk probably never met each other.
Dont take the 5 legends behind Luffy too seriously, it just shows people that Kaido encountered at some point.
If he encountered Mihawk, he would have been listed too if he harmed him.
LinLin for example isnt listed because she never got the change to harm him while she certainly can do it.

why wb talked mihawk vs shanks and he doesn't talked anohter rival like big mom or kaido

Yeah he does challenge stronger opponents.

But I don't think so its clear if they are only swordsman or other fighters as well.

Another thing is Mihawk can tell a user level just by seeing him. And if he isn't on his Level Mihawk usually doesn't bother. Unless he's trying to prove a point.
mihawk is very perspective he knows luffy abbility and who strong will be zoro and luffy

Oda is doing a terrible job with Mihawk

- Only fought a young Shanks
- Never tried to fight Whitebeard before MF
- Never fought Vista
- Never fought Kaido

Which top tier did he fight then to validate his title ?
We just need to be patient until Oda shows Mihawk's past.

The databooks should be enough to rely on,
manga >= databooks >>> headcanon
databook states that Mihawk is WSS in actuality, deal with it until proven otherwise in the manga

And i want to emphasize WSS is "World's strongest swordsman", i still dont get it if there's some who think "Strongest" is not an indication of strength, this pretty awful showing how bad one's understanding is, "Strongest" is a simple word, it refers to strength, and funnily there's still some who's not mature enough to understand such a simple word

Moreover, people like to make an exception when Oda himself has never done that. It's just a desperate excuse to discredit the title.

Admin asking the real questions. I hope Oda playing keep away with Mihawk lore means that Mihawk is actually more important to the story than we realized and we will get a big info dump soon.

Nobody gives a crap about databook

Who did Mihawk fight that was Yonko or Admiral or even Strongest YC of a Yonko crew? None
Who did he beat that was even high tier?
