Putting together my Shanks VS Mihawk theory, and I am more convinced Ch. 1 Shanks was Yonkou/Admiral level.
Wonder if Crocodile and Mihawk were old rivals at their start in piracy and became good friends. It'd make sense if Mihawk stopping at Crocodile was because he had one full arm.
