Today I learned Luffy's JPN VA also did Mega Man Trigger's voice in the JPN version of Mega Man Legends series. Funny because the Legends series always had One Piece vibes and they fight pirates.
Zoro-and-Sanji parallel Rayleigh and Whitebeard 2.0 Law and Kid are almost as cringe as those Yu Yu Hakusho X Bleach fanart that depict Orihime as the Botan to Ichigo's Yusuke (so that Rukia awkwardly fits into the Keiko role).

New theory: Chopper being part of the "weak trio" refers to way back before Robin joined. He's obviously on par with Robin, Franky, and Brook and even had better portrayal than Franky.
Crocodile and Moria are polar opposites. During their conflict with Luffy, one was YC level (Moria) in the past and the other would become YC level in the future (Crocodile). -
