Before you start reading here you need to have to read these two threads.

Alright i will start by pointing out something 1st

What happened in the Pre time skip is happening again in Post Time skip. The Story is repeating itself Similarly but Differently. a Quick example of this is Alabasta and Dressrosa :-

A princess left her country to try and find who ever is causing harm to her country "Vivi". The Villain aspired to become a King from the shadows and was punched upwards for everyone to see.
A princess was held prisoner in her country but knows who caused harm to her country "Rebecca". The Villain is a King from the Heaven and was punched downward for everyone to see.

Now you might say that is not technically similar. And i would say sure yes BUT.
A prince left his country to try and find help so he can stop the "God" who is causing his country harm "Momo". There are many many more that can be pointed out but the post will be waaay too long.

-------------------
Wano and Thriller bark have so many similarities and parallels and many posts have explained them but i want to address the Similarities between Wano and Skypiea in 3 points :-

1- Wano and Jaya/Skypiea - The Fire Festival.
2- Gods and Worshiping Ancestors.
3- Final Thoughts.

1- Wano and Jaya/Skypiea - The Fire Festival

The Fire Festival in Wano is a day where the people celebrate and mourn the dead but most importantly is its the day when they convey their wishes and feelings to their dead "Ancestors".

Now with that we have established that The Citizens of Wano gather around the Capital where a huge "Tree" resides to celebrate and mourn the Dead and Convey their feelings to them using "Fire" and "Drums" while singing and dancing for their Ancestors to hear them out. Now looking back at Skypiea the same festival has been happening in Shandora in their own way which is "Similar yet Different".

In Chapter 289 after Noland saved the village from the Plague. The chapter is called "Looking at the Moon". We see in this chapter several Panels focusing on the Moon. But i will only link 1 Panel.
Then 10 days later we get some more info about the Culture of The Shandians and their beliefs. Chapter 290 "The light of Shandora"
Sounds familiar isn't it? 1st we get the Chief checking up the Sky and The moon then we get lore about their beliefs then finally it ends at a celebration using a huge fire. Both Wano and Shandora kinda have the same concept when it comes to their Ancestors and how they mourn and convey their messages to them. Wano using "Sky ship" and Shandora using their "Golden Bell" while celebrating the same way using fire.

The Shandians beliefs :-
In chapter 291 "We will be here" The Shandians got angry at Noland for cutting down their trees and later on we got Mousse "Calgara's Daughter" telling us the reason on why they were upset.
Also sounds familiar right? The Shandians think that their Ancestors Soul comes back to resides in those Trees when they call for them using the Golden Bell. The Wano Citizens have a similar belief but with Swords.
Onimaru was upset of what Kawamatsu did by digging "cutting the trees" graves to get the Swords to create a solution for Wano's Plague "Kaido".
Alright yet again both Countries shares Similar concepts and beliefs in their own way. Shandians believe their Ancestors Souls resides in their Forest and disturbing them is killing them. Wano believe their Ancestors Souls resides in their Eternal Graves inside their Swords that they were born to wield and disturbing them is killing them.

Both Countries have similar but different Beliefs and both of them Represent something :-
The Country of Light "Sun" Shandora - The Country of Night "Moon" Wano.

I am just gonna leave this here.

----------------------

2- Gods and Worshiping Ancestors.

Both Countries have sacred Gods that they worship and think a bad omen would befell their Lands if someone slays their Gods.
Now Gods in One Piece have only been mentioned in these 2 Arcs specifically But not Only as in Animal like Figures but also Actual Persons were worshiped as Gods. In both Countries for the past 400 years two Gods have risen and they have been worshiped by their Citizens and were valued so high.
What was explained above in "Wano Skypiea - Fire Festival" is exactly what happened to Ryuma and Calgara both fought so greatly they were remembered as Gods to their people. The Story only mentioned them Two those who represent The Sun and The Moon The Luffy and The Zoro. But there are also those who aren't as Lucky.

- Noland and Oden
The two slew a God like figure in their country/foreign country.
The two embarked on a journey around the world. Noland sailed with his crew around the world, while Oden sailed with the Whitebeard Pirates and later the Roger Pirates around the entire Grand Line.
The two were accused of lying and foolishness. Noland was accused of being a liar and deceiver, while Oden was accused of being a foolish lord.
The two were executed unjustly and wrongly. Noland was executed by beheading at the age of 39 by the king of his country, and Oden was executed by boiling at the age of 39 by shogun Orochi and Emperor Kaidou.
And Oden himself wears the Symbol on his clothes.

Now we all know what Parallels Oden has with both Luffy and Zoro. What about Noland?

- Zoro and Noland "The Moons"
Noland story plays out in the Skypiea flashback in a similar manner to that of Zoro or shall i Zoro's story in Wano plays in a similar manner to that of Noland's but still differently of course.

-Noland arrives in Jaya and slays the "Blue" Snake God to Save the life of a young girl. Then later saves their Village from the "Plague" makes friends with them but also upsets them by disturbing their dead and finally be called as a liar deceiver and gets executed.
-Zoro arrives in Wano gets caught and was set to be executed for murdering and grave digging he escapes then makes friends with the people saves the life of an older girl than him but also upsets them with the situation of Ryuma and Shusui and then promises to save their Country from the "Plague Orochi" and announces his desire to also save them from the "Blue" Dragon God.
Something Extra :-
Zoro fought vs Wyper which is Noland vs Calgara they both fought equally.
All of Noland's similarities wtih Zoro happened in the Night Time of the Day Noland arrived in Jaya and the Night of the next day. "The Moon".

- Luffy Noland and Calgara
Luffy is always a special case here because he paralleled both Noland and Calgara. But interestingly enough his Parallel with Noland was only in the Day time. In their scenarios both stood up by their ideals vs the Citizens current ideals. In case of Noland Calgara was calling him out for interfering in their ways and their current situation will worsen because of his "Noland" involvement and the earthquake was the reason Calgara started this debate. Followed by Noland Epic Speech
As for Luffy his situation is similar and different. The prisoners have already accepted their normal life as slaves to their current God Kaido and blaming Luffy's involvement in how their situation have gotten worse. Followed by Luffy's epic speech
Now Luffy's connection wtih Calgara comes in his Drive in Ringing the Bell which in itself is a huge deal not just to let the Monkeys and Cricket to know about the location of The Golden City but to literally give the message that the City of Light is back again.

Now finally how everything above makes sense for both Luffy and Zoro. Both of them have to ascend to Godhood to surpass their previous ones and in time they will be worshiped too. But wait Luffy has already surpassed Calgara and was even prayed to do as well.

The Sun God was reborn in Skypiea and now in Wano the People who are celebrating the Fire Festival have finished their Ritual to Convey their wishes messages to the Heaven. And yet again Luffy's fruit is responding and the Soul that used the Fruit is reacting?

But what of Zoro? will he also ascend to be called a Shimotsuki "Frost Moon" The "Sword God"...

3- Final Thoughts

You see the thing is that Skypiea represent Luffy more as a shining figure while Thriller Bark represent Zoro as the opposite. Both arcs are connected to Wano in more ways than i can write down here.

1- Skypiea - Their culture and beliefs of how the Souls of their Ancestors is brought back by the Sound of the Golden Bell and how lighting the Fire to celebrate and mourns their ancestors and their dead. While also carrying the duty of ringing the Bell for the world to know their location and that they exist and they fear no one and how proud of that they are. The mentions of Gods is also a strong connection for Wano since they also have a deity like figures in their Sword God and Kaido the Dragon but what connects both arcs is the mention of the worshiped God of the Shandians "Sun God" and the Fire Festival.

2- Thriller Bark - We learned the existent of the Ancient Giant Race and the Name of Wano and one of their Gods Ryuma. But most importantly is the concepts of Souls and the Dead revival. The most important panel of all Thriller Bark that relates and the main point of this post is this: -
The Real Cindry was brought back briefly after Chopper epic speech about humans. Even the Corpse of Ryuma reacted to Zoro's presence as a "Giant Creature" as if Ryuma's body remembers his battle against that Dragon he slew. Now will Joy Boy take over Luffy's body? No. At least i don't think so.. in Thriller Bark Luffy has faced a similar situation to our fears of Luffy is JoyBoy reincarnation. When Luffy absorbed the Souls "Shadows" of a 100 People. His Will allowed him to remain Luffy while "using" their Strength in his fight against himself "Oars" and Moria sounds familiar isn't it ?

Not forgetting the fact that Kaido kept feeling Oden's presence/spirit in Enma. So what Zoro went thru is the same what Luffy should be going thru with his Fruit the Soul/Spirit of JoyBoy will help Luffy become Stronger with his awakening and knowing Luffy that is not an issue for him or is it.. We shall wait and see.

More Similarities between Wano and Skypiea :-
In Jaya/Skypiea we got a world building about the new rising pirate BB a warlord meeting with the marines and WB shanks trying to meet
In Wano every act we get world building too involving BB and Mihawk a meeting in the marines HQ. BUT EXTRA

In Skypiea Zoro straight ahead had a motivation for meeting Enel because he called himself a God
In Wano Zoro straight ahead had a motivation for meeting Kaido because he is said to be the strongest and Kaido also reigns as a God too. BUT EXTRA Zoro wants to the Save the People of Wano.

In Skypiea Zoro tried to fight against the main Antagonist but failed.
In Wano Zoro fought against the two main Antagonist but also failed.

In Jaya in the flashback people have the plague
In Wano in the present people have a contaminated waters = poisioning + Plague rounds + Orochi as a Plague himself

In Skypiea the people were afraid of their God but the Shandians were planning for years to hurt Enel Seastone + Rejects Dials that works like Ryou
In Wano the people were afraid of their God Kaido but the Scabbards were planning for years to hurt Kaido Ryuo

In both Wano and Jaya the warriors defended the "Gold" but its actually the Poneglyph they defended and i assume the same for Wano.

In both Wano and Skypiea the characters fought and learned informations along the way and then just before the big battle they gathered up exchanged
infos with each others

Kaido and Enel flies a huge object a ship and an island and both knock luffy out of it

Big Mom is Enel in this Arc

We first meet Kaido in Skypia (or just the sky) and now Luffy (the sun/dawn) seems to want to resume the fight on the Roof (sky). Luffy will more than likely best Kaido there and smash him into the ground/flower Capital

Kaido jumps from the sky and gets confronted by kid and his alliance, Kaido wins. This time after having been bested by Luffy, luffy either gases out from over use of his awakening or needs to stop the island (making it rubber?), and this time Kaido gets killed by Zoro (the moon), bringing about a new legend of dragon slaying to Wano.

Nice theory 👌🏾

Thats a cool way for Kaido to go and what happens next. But i don't know if Kid is able to try. The scabbards tho are preparing for something.

The Final thought should be enough to get the idea.

Yes, because every arc is a copy and paste. Themes always overlap, plot always overlap, characters always overlap, it is just a copy and paste. There is a reason why people say Dressrosa is a walmart version of Alabasta.

In Skypiea Zoro tried to fight against the main Antagonist but failed.
In Wano Zoro fought against the two main Antagonist but also failed.
Can I add something too? In Skypeia Luffy's strawhat is the exact same one as in Wano.

Well duh the 1st thing i did was saying that the story is repeating itself. But the Straw hat is the same in Skypiea and Wano is new  i can't believe how i missed that. Do you know that Zoro's Bandana is also the same one from chapter 3?

I don't think characters can be revived in this series, in any possible way, it would disrupt all the pathos and emotional turmoil Ace's death caused, but still it would have been superlative.
They can't and i hope not too. The point is those Souls/Spirit have memories within them that seems to cause some affects. Remember when Hiyori played her music Enma itself reacted and its highly likely due to Oden's Soul/Spirit within the blade. So what if the Fruits can carry the Soul/Memories of the dead and somehow can react and help in a minor way. In the case of Cindry it was only briefly that it lasted few seconds.

I think swords can carry the memories of the users who wielded them and by themselves swords are treated like living objects in the verse anyway.

Not by the verse only a select few that knows the rest just call them curses . Don't forget the "Merry" too. :goyea:
And that's also connected to the concept of VOAT, this verse is special but ignorant readers think Enma must have Oden's soul and doesn't possess a proper soul and intelligence just to pull an example.

Good thing some understand how this series works.

:goyea:Yup and most of those readers knows but are salty so they use whatever excuse to satisfy their agendas.

Great post. You gave in the spot, and that skull and missing island might be Wano lol, maybe from the mouth. Who knows.
:goyea: You got that right. But there are other theories out there that suggest that the missing eye is Laugh Tale. I for one think if Laugh Tale is connected to Jaya it should be where the Mouth is for multiple reasons such as "South Bird" always point to the South and "Laughing" comes out of the Mouth too. There are more reasons but these are the ones that stuck out the most for me for now.
