Overall I agree with you. I also think that Gorosei are based on the World Leaders of the past who caused some shit here and there after the "Cleansing" reveal.

For example, more than Jesus, Luffy is close to sungod and his attack bajrang gun refers to Lord Hanuman and coincidentally Luffy name is "Monkey" D Luffy and Monkey is a spritiual animal refering to Lord Hanuman....

Frankly, Arjuna, Karna, Duryodhan were much better characters than anything in Ramayana. I might offend you with that. But both are just stories to me and I found Mahabharata characters better.
