I doubt He is taking down an Admiral
Zoro's Main Opponents are only against Top Henchmen of Main Villain who occupies Arc's Main Location
Arlong Park ---> Arlong ---> Hatchan
Arabasta ---> Crocodile ---> Mr. 1
Skypiea ---> Enel ---> Ohm
Enies Lobby ---> Lucci ---> Kaku
Thriller Bark ---> Moria ---> Zombie Ryuma
Fishmen Island ---> Hody ---> Hyouzou
Dressrosa ---> Doflamingo ---> Pica
Wano ---> Kaidou ---> King
So for Zoro to Fight an Admiral, Arc must happen on Akainu's Island which is New Marineford & must Focus on only Marines
And i highly doubt We gonna have such an Arc

In Punk Hazard, Law made an Alliance to beat Doffy
In Zou, Wano Plot officially Started

So Egghead Arc is gonna be a Teaser for Upcoming Major Villain & for Main Damsel of Distress of this Saga (Usually happens at Very End).
This Saga is clearly about World Government (CP-0, Gorosei, Imu, Holy Knights, Levely Flashback, Vivi/Wapol, Vegapunk, Kuma, Revos ... etc)
Zoro's Next Major Fight should be against One of Mary Geoise's Top Three Henchmen.
It could be One of Five Elders, could be Garling who is Leader of Holy Knights, could be a Hidden CP-0 Agent Superior than Lucci, could be Kong, could be some kind of Magellan's Superior (Someone who handles Prisoners & Slaves there) ... etc

Following the recent manga chapter and the reveal that many of the five elders are swordsman (plus the former king of god valley who executed the donqixote noble) .. I think zoro taking out an admiral (or an equivalent of an admiral) is more plausiable at this point than Mihawk, zoro's goal is to become WSS, if he deafets the strongest (Mihawk) there is no further goal in defeating anyone else (except of course for the sake of his captain luffy to become PK) but if let's say he defeats a person who defeated Mihawk, that's basically 2 in 1 package ...
I'm merely speculating here, but I don't think zoro will face mihawk the same way these two faced each other in the Barate arc.
