Yeah you get it, throughout the fight we've been mirrored with the actual cast of JJK. Being confused, amazed, asking the same questions, getting the same answers, our expectations constantly being defined. It's only right that we experience the whiplash the same way the characters did

Also adding on again here, I want to highlight how consistent Gege has been thematically and stylistically.

Death has NEVER been ceremonious in JJK. Sukuna, who's ideals the story essentially conforms to and is dictated by, literally told us what was going to happen, and it happened EXACTLY that way. In Sukuna's eyes, Gojo was never an honored one. There can only be one Honored One. The meta aspect of Sukuna's character gets even crazier too when you realize that Gojo getting killed inbetween chapter publications mirrors the way Sukuna's technique evolved

No I read it in one shot, prior to the this week's chapter. While I was reading, couldn't help but feel Sukuna was in control, while Gojo was mostly reacting.

Great fight, but man the latest chapter is going to go down in history as one of the most brutal ends to a fanbase and character. Dude basically gave Gojo fans no out. He killed him and then defecated on his remains.

For a guy to go from untouchable status, to looking like a mere mortal like that, is unsettling. There are so many angles to consider here it was a razor thin margin, and yet at the end it still felt like Sukuna was out of reach...

Thing is you just know it burns cause Sukuna was using Megumi's abilities. From that pov Gege made an extremely hateable villain, I entered this fight team Sukuna and almost left it Team Gojo. That's writing.

Very true, I am a big fan of Sukuna too 😂 but the end of Gojo almost made me hate him. The thing is Sukuna had to win here, Gojo isn't the MC. Yuji and Megumi will bring him down - dont ask me how! Wojo did very well regardless, he was at one point fighting 3 against 1!

Hes busy with real life atm, he said he wouldnt be able to read this chapter till a few days after the official drops so we will see him next week I guess.
