Current Events The "evil twin" plots are usually used in Soap Opera parodies

Every Current Yonko have Two Superiors that He doesn't wanna take Orders from,
Luffy got Dragon & Garp as his Family Superiors, One chose Marine & Other chose Revos but Luffy chose One Piece (Pirate),
Buggy got Mihawk & Crocodile as his Business Superiors, One chose Power & Other chose Wealth but Buggy chose One Piece (Fame),
Blackbeard have Three Skulls, We all know what that means,

Obviously Shanks will follow same Pattern, He has Two Superiors whom He doesn't wanna Follow because of One Piece,
Wait until you find out that Shanks, just like BB, is a triplet!
Glad there is Someone who gets it.

It's another Moon Story (Just like what Enel saw in his Cover Story), just replace Shandian/Skypiean/Birkan with a Trio from each Yonko.

Yes, this is really crap
Because Oda could have made Shanks a more complex character than just giving us the repeated advice that blood doesn't matter!
The story after Wano is really boring to me
Obviously it matters
Luffy-from famous clan
Zolo-famous ancestor
Sanji-from powerful Family

I mean, Oda is trying to say that you become like the people you live with
Shanks looks at Roger
His brother is trying to be like Garling
Even though these two people look exactly alike, their beliefs are different
This has been said many times in the story before
This part of the story doesn't interest me

I always thought at best Shanks is a morally gray character whose sole purpose is keeping the balance of the world (stopping Kaido from entering the war, stopping BB from conquering the world...etc), and not outright an "Obito" of the One Piece.
Seems like Oda wants to keep his Golden Boy as clean as possible. Which makes sense tbh

Nah.

The "evil twin" trashy plot point is where there is a fake out in which the evil twin has been pretending to be the good guy. This hasn't happened here, this is no different from finding out Shanks has a non-twin brother. We were only shown a single, short scene of him in which not much happened and nobody called him Shanks (and from which many people theorized it wasn't Shanks, especially in Japan).

The guy won't have the same scars on his face and won't be missing an arm, so they aren't undistinguishable anyway. There's also good enough reason for us (and maybe even himself) to not know about the evil twin yet despite being so late into the story, as we barely are starting to see these Holy Knights now.

People are making this into a bigger deal than it is.

People still today call the character of Sabo "fanservice" because they say its Ace's replacement. Lets not pretend this is not just a fanservice to get "Luffy vs Shanks". Which is stupid anyway because even if this guy looks like Shanks he probably doesnt fight like him,and doesnt have the same bond with Luffy so a fight between them could never be the same of a real Luffy vs Shanks fight. So its just stupid to create this plot point. If Elbaph will be a long arc there is really a risk that at the end of the story we will have more "Evil Twin" screentime than Shanks screentime.

Would've been fine if it wasn't a literal clone or twin brother. That's a bit ass.

I agree, i also don't like when Writers rely on Twins/Clones,
However, i think We should instead think more about what We don't know about OP World rather than what We don't know about Shanks,

I theorized before that Gorosei are actually Yokai who took Forms of other Humans,
So this Guy could be same Case
