In the latest chapter we found out that nobody knows exactly what Nika did. Some say he is a liberator and some say he is a destroyer. Everybody has their own interpretation of Nika - but everyone wants to be like Nika. Mountain Beard even said, that he believes that Loki's motive to kill his father was to follow in the footsteps of Nika. So basicaly Loki believed in the ''Nika is a destroyer'' interpretation and is now trying to do the same and destroy the world.
Him being a good guy was also already hinted before, when the person he was talking to via Den Den Mushi said that Loki does have a good side in him.

But the real Nika is heading straight to him right now, Loki will see his G5 Form (Goofy is gonna do something good) and realise that Nika is not a destroyer and change his mind.

I don't really have an opinion on that, since i didn't really had any expectation about him being good or bad. Either is alright i guess.

Do you guys preferred him to be bad or good?

I kinda want him to be neutral which is the vibe he's giving, not necessarily bad but is willing to do bad things for the sake of Good

Murder the few for the sake of the many

If it turns out that the person Loki talked to through DenDen Mushi was Imu, then Imu saying Loki has a good side to him can only serve one purpose, to piss Loki off and that is exactly how he responded to that, he got mad. Fast forward, 2 Holy Knights stand in front of Loki and what do they do - make him even more furious by killing his wolf...

I am convinced that Loki will start causing trouble because of all the built-up rage and he will temporarily be the bad guy.
And it will be Luffy's job to break through to him and convince him to stop.
I expected him to be the villain but I am not so sure about that anymore. Depends on the circumstances of Harald's murder.

A morally grey or ambiguous character will always turn out to be a good one. As opposed to guys like Enel, Lucci or Kaido, who were plain savages interested in nothing but destruction, without a layer of ambiguity.

Loki turning out "good" is almost certain. Though good doesn't mean a saint. Just like Shanks pointed out that in the end, they are also just pirates. So he will be "good" by the standards of what we consider evil.

I think Mihawk or Oden are good examples. Mihawk isn't really evil either, but he still sails around instilling fear, obliterating both pirates and marines to kill time. Just that Loki is more wild and out of control, similar to Oden laying villages to waste as a kid.

Loki turning out good (or at least reluctant ally) by the end of the arc is pretty much guaranteed, although it doesn't mean he can't be antagonistic at first.
I at least expect some clash with the straw hats when he's free.
