My theory, which i stated in my Gunko thread, is that Shamlock was the one "killing"/taking Victoria, but since no one knew of a twin, specially not some children on a scum island, he must have assumed it was Shanks. He later saw shanks in the newspaper, looking identical, and was convinced it was him. Thats why he hunts Shanks. But originaly should and will hunt down Shamlock.

I mean, the dude is coming back, later rather than sooner. But people have too big expectations for him. It'll be a rehash of the Udon plot, with Kid getting some minor W against some nobody. The Jika meme is making people expect Vegeta's reveal of the SSJ form against the Androids.

I assume Oda will give us a brief flashback like that to justify Kid being stronger next time we see him. He surely won’t fight a nobody. There’s a decent chance he’ll be included in the gauntlet Shanks faces before Teach ultimately defeats him.
