Not sure why Chrono got that way tbh it's pretty sad to see as he was one of the flag bearers for the the Sanji cause

None of the the SHs are the same as they were pre-ts. One Piece franchise got bigger and Oda started playing into stereotypes which kinda makes the SHs caricatures of themselves. So Chrono is not wrong on the fact the Sanji is not exactly the same as he was pre-ts but you can say the same about all the other SHs. That said though the core of their characters is still there and with Sanji I feel he's more layered than the other SHs so you're kinda spoilt for choice with regards to what to choose from be it his kishido, the humanity/vulnerabilities of the character, the fighting style, the unique route Oda's going with this power ups, the comedic part of the character and so on. Even if you hate the pervy stuff there is a shit ton to like and it's not like any of these things have changes since the TS. With regards to Sanji's strength or cuul moments, he still has those and is still clearly part of the monster trio. Nothing has really changed from that perspective. I mean if you like Sanji I doubt his strength is the sole reason you like him, otherwise you'd just be a Zoro fan

(which is cuul too, not taking jabs lol)
So it's kinda odd to drop Sanji for not getting as many fights as Zoro, fighting goofy opponents or even showing moments of weakness. Even in Sanji's very intro arc, he gave up his dream to pay Zeff back for saving his life etc. Pre-ts Sanji fought Arlong and lost too so him losing to Doffy for example is not really new? Sanji taking damage to his bones against an incredibly durable opponent is not really new either? Same also happened against Kuma pre-ts iirc but what interesting about Sanji is that Oda gives his character so much thought that even that developed into something like him developing an exoskeleton. So don't really get it.
Prolly debating in a toxic environment for too long and getting gaslight on a daily maybe?
