Crocus, Rayleigh and Gaban being where they are is too convenient for Luffy too. Not just narrative convenience by Oda ofc but in-universe, I wonder if they especially Shanks arranged this all for Luffy as part of a prophecy? Like how Kuma was actually saving the SHs at Sabaody and he whispered something to Rayleigh too?
I remember a recent fanart of Shanks laying out a red carpet with a huge key from Scopper and it signified how all these guys helped guide and set luffy up on a predetermined route ironically. Railroading him.
The SHs were meant to go to Raijin Island instead of Punk Hazard and Urouge went to Raijin over the timeskip or something?
SHs were heading to Fishman Island and preparing to meet the "evil" Jinbei who set Arlong upon the world and thus Nami and such during pre TS IIRC but the whole Ace Saga and thus Sabaody incident happened too.
Sabo used a chess themed move vs Imu and he learned the move dragon claw from Dragon. Maybe Dragon is so "inert" because he either knows of the prophecy too or and he's trying to plan something huge and think several steps ahead and thus all risks, potential checkmates and "sacrifices", hence why he was happy for ivankov and Morley to sit in impel down too?
A lot of factions in OP have had traitors and the RHP and Revs have yet to experience any in story, I suspect Rockstar will betray Shanks and Lindbergh will betray Dragon, the latter due to IRL inspirations on his name and such but we'll see.
We had CP0 playing Go at Wano, Imu is doing Reversi, Sabo used a chess move, we have Davy Back Fights (pirate games), Enels ordeals/trials which were "death games", Kaidos and Doflamingos card game themed crews, Big Mom's death roulette thing and her "truth or dare" maybe thing with soul pocus/life or treat (trick or treat)?

But I love seeing games as abilities/power systems. The reversi thing is extremely cool as I enjoy reversi the game too IRL so a really fun reference for me too.
