On the cover page, Yamato reunites with Kikunojo! They look so happy to see each other. It feels like a fun sleepover is incoming. They could braid each other's hair, and tell scary stories, and talk about boys. Probably mostly about Oden. Yamato does talk about Oden a lot.

Lil' Harald hung out a lot with Lil' Dorry and Brogy! What mischievous adventures they could get into with each other. I wonder if they had a "Mr Wilson" to balance out their "Dennis the Menace" energy? But, we don't have time for that, now.

The deadly booger flick of doom. Truly a unstoppable technique.

The Kingdom of Bunt. I forget if we've heard of that place before or not. I'm pretty sure it's never been mentioned before? But, for all I know, it could have been mentioned once in passing 10 years ago.

D'aww...this is kind of a sweet meet cute. Harald saves Ida, but she doesn't want to be "saved" and tries to go back and rebuilt the town he wrecked. I could see why Harald got a crush on her, she's cute. No wonder she turns out to be Hajrudin's mom. I am curious about how they made the fake horns for her show, though.

Nika Dance! I guess that proves Harald is a good guy, deep down. No one who does the Nika Dance is pure evil.

The "Blood Soaked Serpent" that Dorry and Brogy mentioned back on Little Garden is finally confirmed to be the Red Line. We all kind of figured that's what it was, but it's nice to have it finally confirmed, after decades.

They make those feather pens in Giant size, too? And they were still being made 105 years ago? Okay, I'm oddly curious about these. Where do they come from?

D'aww, again. I'm glad Ida wasn't exiled from the village or anything. She seems pretty content, all things considered.

Lady Estrid, the future mother of Loki! She's a student of the Earth-Wind Arts. Whatever those are. From the context, I'm guessing it's a reference to Feng shui, which literally means Wind-Water. So, I guess "Earth-Wind" would be "Tu-Feng"? Is that a joke about Estrid being "two faced"? Or...maybe "Earth-Wind" is just a fart joke? Interesting that she mentions a "Lethal Five-Star Configuration". Kind of a hint about the Abyss Summoning Circles?

Hey, there's Asura, the horse that Loki is destined to "kill". And it's a reference to Sleipnir, Odin's eight legged horse from Norse mythology!

Huh. This world has a Pole/North Star, too. Well, that's another hint that the One Piece World is actually a future Earth, I guess. Time will tell.

And we FINALLY get to see Loki's eyes! And...yeah, okay, they're freaky. And unique. I don't think we've seen eyes like this before. They don't look like the Ringed Eyes we see on other characters. And I don't remember any Ancient Giants having eyes like this either. In fact, the eyes that are closest to looking like Loki's eyes are probably the Gorosei's eyes when they're in their "Yokai" forms. (Chapter 1110). Interesting. Loki’s a Yokai?!

Don't throw the baby.

That's one tough baby! And this scene reminds me a lot of Luffy climbing up the Drum Island mountains to save Nami.

And Ida continues to be adorable! Even as a doting mom! Yeah...something bad's probably going to happen to her, since we haven't seen her in the present day. I'm guessing Loki will get blamed for that, too.
You never cease to amaze me Oykot-San. Always an essay to read, but well done.

:BigW:

This panel also caught my attention. Elbafs Advanced Navigation Techniques intrigued other countries. Do you think this was the Origin of the Log Poses we know of today?

Overall an awesome chapter, so many details. I am sure people will find more in the upcoming days.

Advance navigation technique.... Gives the most basic information about following the pole star, that's the only reason anyone would even take a boat into sea...:milaugh:

Also no idea what is suggesting their navigation as advanced...

Well, I have no clue about all of this navigation using the stars etc. For the folks back then, it seemed advanced. In the same way, the Strawhat crew was excited when they discovered the different dials on Skypea.

perhaps It was simply new to them.

It's Interesting that Ida (10meters) is only a bit taller than Big Mom (8.8 meters), she might be the smallest giant the story ever shown. Since Samuwanai's giants don't discriminate other races, they might have cross marriage with other races and that might be how Big Mom and other giant linked races comes to be. Most of them as I should say.

I think this chapter pretty much confirmed Saul is originated from Samuwanai the same island where Ida comes from. Saul stated he comes from the South Blue the same sea where Samuwanai is located. The appearance between Saul and Ida look very different and there are two reasons for this, for example female has lesser features (big forearm, big torso), just look at Estridd for example, she doesn't have horns and is about 2/3 of ancient giant height. The other reason is Ida is not a pure giant as I have mentioned above about cross marriage with other races. However, the biggest giveaway is Saul and Hajrudin have the same built which means Ida's ancestor lineage is the same as Saul.

You go to sea only because there is pole star. Without that no one goes, because of pole star people started sailing I would say, as they know there is one guide. I don't think any one sailed without the knowledge of pole star, it's basically as essential as a ship to sail in unknown waters... Of course later compass came but pole star still matters as a source of truth

I doubt we will get info on all that navigation stuff... It's too late, and we are not really focusing on such aspects in the story.

I wish Harald was evil and in cahoot with World Govt but looks like soda is making him Jesus like Oden .

So Loki’s mother does like every other mother in one piece I don’t know why Oda hates Mums did he have bad childhood ?

But flashback is off to good start hopefully we will learn

Harald meeting Shanks
Lokis misadventure in Elbaf
Harald breaking his horns
Holy knights involvement 14 years ago

Finally Loki vs Shanks hype and reason Loki got imprisoned despite being innocent .

Interesting, makes sense to me. Without this knowledge, I guess Joyboy, who set sail 900 years ago, wouldn't have made it far in the Seas either. But then again, he came from a technologically advanced kingdom, who knows what they used to navigate.
