Sabo telling someone or straight up joining could be incorporated into the story next or like you said Shanks.
Since the Revolutionaries are kind of enemies with Luffy , Sabo might’ve never told anyone except Dragon.

Lucci was going to join the crew by the end of Egghead. Lucci's motivations were "misunderstood" and he was actually trying to help the crew whilst changing to be a better person.
Rambles was so convinced he was right, he did bets with over a dozen people and the the total amount rang up to about 10 years worth of avi changes.
When the arc ended he was convinced the arc wasn't actually over and something was gonna happen and they would actually sail back to the island. And it came time to collect, Rambles was gone. And he hasn't logged on since.
That's why he's not anyone's favorite user rn.

but given what we know about Lucci, I dont understand how he could have such a static shift over a short period, I could understand that if it was after Egghead given how he reacted to being betrayed by Stussy but even then it would take a lot more than just her

It's not just what Mr. Reloaded pointed out. I’ve really disliked Rambles even before he ran away from this forum.
I was confident at some point that this guy was a troll. He was obsessively fixated on the "Lucci will join" theory to the point of being brain-dead. When reading some of his wall of text posts, it became obvious to me that he was clearly bullshitting. And whenever I called him out as a troll, he kept denying it.
Because he always used polite language in conversations, people here ended up being too friendly with him and even protected him. But like I said, I’d sensed for a while that something was off about him.
And in the end, once it became clear that Lucci won't join the crew, he abruptly disappeared from the forum to escape the consequences of losing the bet—a bet he himself crazily threw at everyone without thinking.
I said from the beginning that he was a troll. He knew all along he couldn’t win. And we should’ve known from the start that this guy was never going to honor his word.
He’s been a liar from the get-go. And in the end, he’s also afraid of being mocked by the crowd. So besides being a liar, he’s also a coward.
