Tbh nothing implied to me that Shiki had any chance in that 2v1, while it seemed Roger and Garp vs Rocks was a legendary and very difficult fight.

I also think Roger and Garp are a slightly more powerful duo.

Rocks had the strongest crew, Roger and Garp teamed up to defeat the pirates Rocks doesn't say anything about teaming up against Rocks alone.

Shiki is a special case, he went alone to the marine base, killed hundreds of marines and fought a 1v2 against Garp and Sengoku, he did this while not being supported by anyone.

It depends on how you think of haki, if for example not having acoc is a cap or not, I think haki is like ki from dragon ball, so hypothetically you could just do enough push ups or pull ups and become the strongest besides Nika/Joyboy and Imu, with just basic invisible armament haki

Yeah I think whenever haki is brought into equation, the one with ACoC will always have stronger haki than one with ACoA. After Wano this aint even a question. Sure CoA is directly trained but ACoC was shown to be exponentially stronger than CoA. So I dont see anyone with just very strong CoA be above guys who have ACoC. For them to stand a chance they need some broken DF.

Bruh, the whole prophecy doesn't make many sense. Screw prophecy
Without Shiryu around, Teach was already game over by Magellan's hands. Low diffed. Sure, fate played along with this scenario.

The whole "only Nika can beat him" doesn't make sense. Teach is not an immortal being who can't die even if he got poisoned, sunken to sea etc. There are plenty of ways to kill him actually.

It's not that only Nika can beat him

It's about two elements - Fate and threats.


Luffy and BB is driven by the fate.

Rest are playing their role as well - knowingly or unknowingly.



Shanks is there to play his part as well - he's letting Luffy have his journey but at the same time he's acting as a gatekeeper.

Not to beat BB but to stop him from meddling in Luffy's journey before it's time.... before Luffy is ready.

This is one of the reasons why Shanks vs BB is bound to happen...



There are two kinds of school of thoughts...

1) Your actions decide your fate


2) Your fate decides your actions


One piece like many shonen tends to take the second route.... it's convenient because it lets author justify lots of things

Rocks would have been in his early 20s 56 years ago if he was same age as roger/garp which seems likely. Also by the looks of it , this was civilian rocks before he became a pirate.

Bad reading comprehension and headcanon wishes really is the most stupid combination. Nowhere it said that Roger and Garp teamed up to beat Rocks in a 2v1. The names are being said to show the different factions and who was fighting who. Rocks the ultimate crew required Roger Pirates and Garp (Navy) to be defeated and they teamed up to save CDs and slaves.

In Kuma FB we also see that it was Roger and Rocks who clashed and Garp was not present at that time.

There is literally nothing in the arc that can offset that.
