Have we ever seen any other yonko talking about/with Blackbeard? Obviously Whitebeard, but his whole thing was "do not judge the child by the sins of his father, we are all sons of the sea". If Kaido / BM return we might get that interaction in the future.

getting the interaction then feels less significant after its already been revealed

To be honest, I feel like Oda could have left the "Blackbeard's father" info box out, the looks alone should be enough and we could have gotten the confirmation by other, more interesting means in the future.
That alone wouldn’t be enough to cause half of Marineford to be destroyed if Shiki was fighting two people as strong as him.
The fact that half of Marineford still got destroyed and Sengoku who claimed Shiki was his personal business asked for help from Garp shows Shiki > Either of them

Garp Sengoku the gorosei all never once mentioned bb ties to rocks. The wg even gave hi position of warlord fully entrusting him with it. Same clowns who went into all that trouble in marineford to kill ace due his bloodline
They had an offpanel scene like the one between Ray and Shakky, with Kaido shedding a tear thinking that the new Yonko reminds him of their late captain.
