Gotta love when powerlevel is the only argument against a new nakama and they haven't even fought yet.

That's literally the entire argument against Loki joining. Remember "Jinbei is too strong" and "Franky is too strong"? Next thing you know the "Loki death flags" movement will start up.
It's completely intellectually dishonest to compare this situation to Giamon and Kinemons legs. Ya'll know full well this is way more like Sanji, Zoro, and Brook where Luffy fixates on them from the second they meet at the begining of the arc, bonds with them, and starts inviting them before the action starts with a dramatic full page panel, but they only say yes when he asks again at the end. The way it's portrayed is night and day. Only strawhats get this treatment.

Also they all carried hammers and where anicent giants. loki also got the hammer to. So could be hint the Gale-ra warhammer company crafted the arc. before they got defeated by some unknown monsters out in the sea...

yeah i know, but find it interesting. since loki could basically help franky with carrying the wood, repairs. since he big enough to help move it. is what i meant.
the ones who crafted the ark, are hinted this chapter who vanished at sea, all of bunch of ancient ship crafter giants who carried a hammer.
With loki eyes, i think he has good look out/self awareness other don't have.
but since oda never confirmed the first mate yet, most likely loki. who can carry the sunny in case stronger enemy shows up, they can't escape in time.
When he arrived to the castle it looked like he dropped from the sky with no ship, while the grandpa arrived on the ship. possible hint flying df/shapeshifter.
