We know he joined WB's crew when he was what, like 12, and got the Yami when he was like 38. You think Teach wasted 26 years where he could have just gotten whatever fruits, for the slight possibility he can get the Yami Yami no mi?
Yes....because thats literally what is explained in the story and by Blackbeard himself lmao:

Or it's a subtle acknowledgement that making a black blade doesn't have to do without your overall power but instead of some kind of specific application of mastery that's unique to sword humpers. Just like hurting the HK is using CoC in some kind of special technique or something.
Interestingly if you extend this idea, it could be that making a black blade is more akin to overcoming a shortcoming of strength by mastering the blade more effectively etc.

But for now it's funnier to just argue Shanks vs Mihawk lol
Yeah true I don't buy the idea that just because you make your blade black means you are automatically stronger than those who don't. Which is why I don't believe Mihawk is stronger than Xebec, Roger for example.
I do believe Mihawk is stronger than Shanks tho, and that's enough for me, even if they are dead even at this point :pepebusi:

This is actual proof of how crazy that feat is. Given Kizaru was hyping Weevil on Young WBs level, You have to create a scenario for it to not be a stomp in favour of GB. GB's feats are nutty. Just keep him far away from the GodKing.
I’m not really “creating a scenario” though. I’m just explaining the most logical course of action for GB’s character. Like there’s no reason whatsoever for GB to not seize WB’s vast treasures if he beat Weevil fair and square, other than Oda forgot

It was explained how Mihawk became WSS… he physically sailed around the entire world fighting everyone worth fighting until there was no one left worth fighting

Ryuma was never WSS. He never left Wano. He was “Sword God”
Still Mihawk must have defeated one really Big Name that made him World Strongest Swordsman.. Or else he became World Strongest Swordsman by turning his Great Grade Blade Black mostly..

Yes....because thats literally what is explained in the story and by Blackbeard himself lmao:

If Teach was literally born with the ability to eat multiple fruits, why not start with a different one and eat the Yami when he finds it?

The original reason in story that the Yami was special is that it could damage Logias, but obviously Haki made that not a big deal, most likely Teach wanted the Yami as a way to get more devil fruits.

Btw, how does Ace, Oden, Wb, the Marines, Kuzan, or any other BBP not notice Teach is multiple people, but Luffy and Zoro can? Why does Teach talk about himself like he is one individual? "This is *my* era"

Mihawk said his Sword is the World Strongest Black Blade, not the World Strongest Blade.. Actually i don't think that fully accurate either but..
I don’t know what translation you’re using, the one I’ve seen is “Strongest of its kind”

And I repeat, the Vivre cards directly say Strongest sword in the world… Which doesn’t contradict what mihawk said

ZenZu

The only one who can beat me is me
Bitches think Fatbeard is beating this guy lmfao
I'm afraid BB is literally the only character capable of it, since he can just shut his fruit off. Oda cornered himself with Kizaru, either he retires or BB beats him. He's basically unbeatable based off Egghead context, since he wasn't giving it anywhere close to 100% and by mistake beat a Yonkou.

I have seen nothing to make me think Green Bull would steal Whitebeard’s treasure just to bring it to the Celestial Dragons lmfao.

Green Bull leaving Whitebeard’s treasure would make perfect sense seeing as how Green Bull never offered to steal such a treasure in the first place lmfao.
Lol wut? He genuinely believes the CDs are gods and will do anything for them, and he said in Wano that he thinks non-WG affiliated citizens have no human rights
