Roger and Garp didn't only clash once or twice though, they had "dozen of fights where they almost killed each other" according to Roger and you compare it to Oden vs Whitebeard then be talking about loss of critical thinking :Shadow_Unimpressed:
Yes, almost killing each other is pretty much the dictionary definition of an extreme diff fight.

We’ve know that Roger and Garp nearly killed each other for decades. It’s not news to me lmao.

Now, I don‘t have the inclination, the time or the desire to go through all these people who are now arguing that Garp = Roger, but I‘ willing to bet that none of them had Roger = Garp before this chapter. But I did for you quickly since you brought it up and I genuinely found the perfect post that you had said.

We are both literally saying the exact same thing. I agree 100% with that post of yours from a few years back.

I don’t see why people are suddenly seeing their mind cause we’ve seen, yes, Roger and Garp was a close fight, exactly as we were told multiple times. But just cause it’s close, doesn’t mean it’s equal.

It's a very fun chapter, especially as a Rayleigh stan.

Nami might be subtly mirroring Shakky in the color spread, as her cap is branded with 'Belle.' By definition, this word means 'beautiful' in French and refers to the most beautiful woman at a particular event or within a group in English. Fittingly, the chapter is titled Idols, and the first half focuses on the beauty of the past Kuja Pirates. Nami is even positioned close to Rayleigh. One more thing I want to mention on this matter: Shakuyaku is based on the Japanese word for the peony flower. It looks similar to the Oki no Nami flower, which some Nami fans speculate may have inspired her name.

So, Glorisa fell for Roger, Shakky fell for Rayleigh, and Hancock fell for Luffy. Who did Tritoma fall for? Maybe Dragon. The captain and first mate, and then father and son, could be seen as a hierarchical pattern.

I also love that Roger isn't a complete 1:1 mirror of Luffy. He drinks, he fights with a blade, and he falls for women. Seeing this other side to him was hilarious, especially the megaphone moment.

Roger and Rouge had Ace. Gaban and Ripley had Colon. And Rayleigh and Shakky most likely had a child, which could be Shakky's obvious reason behind her early retirement from piracy. The stock of Dracule Mihawk's parentage theories is looking up.

Initially, I wasn't on board with Mosa being a woman, but if Mosa isn't Jarul, I hope Mosa turns out to be Ida. Such a kind soul.

I mentioned this last night in the spoiler discussion thread, but Silver Axe resembles X Drake with the X theme, even on their chins, and both are axe users. It feels too deliberate to be a coincidence.

Seeing Xebec care about Harald beyond just a potential crewmate, and after all those refusals, is nice to see.
Kuja women can't have male offsprings so the Mihawk thing is impossible.

Silver Axe gives me Mr 1 vibes, I think they may be father and son.

We are seeing a 200 IQ Linlin in action, we definitely got a bad future Linlin in the main timeline :josad:
Tbh it feels like we got the " bad future timeline " for basically everyone lol

WB ended up sick betrayed by Teach and Ace suicided for nothing would've literally been better if he had let Ace die lol
Linlin turned into BM
Kaido stayed in Wano waiting god knows what
Shiki ?? MIA ??
Rest ??

The new gen rocks pirates ( BB ) can only DREAM to reach such heights

Back in the day, high diff used to be considered respectful. Nowadays, saying character A can “only” push character B to high diff is seen as insane slander. The same thing is happening with extreme diff. Saying character A can “only” push character B to extreme diff is now considered disrespectful

Yeah man, it’s the shit that makes me lose interest in powerscaling nowadays. It‘s wall to wall zero sum agenda bullshit

And yeah, hypocritical of me, i know I deride characters like Sanji and Law, but come on, I’m literally saying one of my favourite characters is not as strong as another and getting jumped lmao. I’m actually holding him to the same standards as I do other characters lol.

lmfao you got me
But I think even in extreme diffs there are degrees to it. For exemple it was suggested Akainu had enough steam left to achieve a defeated Aokiji, but while I think Roger does edge out Garp slighty in the sense he'd win everytime in an all out fight I also believe Roger would be so worn out he would barely be to move after delivering the finisher, like Luffy after beating Katakuri.
In comparison Roger and WB would be a double KO.
