It's a very fun chapter, especially as a Rayleigh stan.
Nami might be subtly mirroring Shakky in the color spread, as her cap is branded with 'Belle.' By definition, this word means 'beautiful' in French and refers to the most beautiful woman at a particular event or within a group in English. Fittingly, the chapter is titled Idols, and the first half focuses on the beauty of the past Kuja Pirates. Nami is even positioned close to Rayleigh. One more thing I want to mention on this matter: Shakuyaku is based on the Japanese word for the peony flower. It looks similar to the Oki no Nami flower, which some Nami fans speculate may have inspired her name.
So, Glorisa fell for Roger, Shakky fell for Rayleigh, and Hancock fell for Luffy. Who did Tritoma fall for? Maybe Dragon. The captain and first mate, and then father and son, could be seen as a hierarchical pattern.
I also love that Roger isn't a complete 1:1 mirror of Luffy. He drinks, he fights with a blade, and he falls for women. Seeing this other side to him was hilarious, especially the megaphone moment.
Roger and Rouge had Ace. Gaban and Ripley had Colon. And Rayleigh and Shakky most likely had a child, which could be Shakky's obvious reason behind her early retirement from piracy. The stock of Dracule Mihawk's parentage theories is looking up.
Initially, I wasn't on board with Mosa being a woman, but if Mosa isn't Jarul, I hope Mosa turns out to be Ida. Such a kind soul.
I mentioned this last night in the spoiler discussion thread, but Silver Axe resembles X Drake with the X theme, even on their chins, and both are axe users. It feels too deliberate to be a coincidence.
Seeing Xebec care about Harald beyond just a potential crewmate, and after all those refusals, is nice to see.
