Character Discussion Burgess and his Riki Riki (Strong ass fruit)

Maybe getting closer to death with urouges df could potentially give a greater amp in strength than burgess's.
I wonder if Blackbeard chose to consume urouge's fruit, and then marcos, he could gain strength from taking damage then simultaneously heal in a burst to gain strength without sustaining the damage.
Or if he chose to absorb an attack with the yami yami no mi, potentially the amplified pain he feels could be used to source urouge's df instead of taking literal heavy damage to his body. In this case he can also get off scott free, at least physically if not mentally.
So he could choose when to absorb or not absorb something and still reap the rewards of strength.
I guess he could have also just ate burgess and urouges df's. That would go crazy, because he could use burgess df, take damage and have that strength amplified. It would probably suit a brawler better anyway like king elizabello.

lol no it took the entirety of the minks in Sulong to actually take down Jack, even then he wasnt even fully down. not even a warship housed with sengoku, tsuru and ishho landed any significant damage to jack and neither did Zunisha....

He wasn't neg diffed by Sabo. He stood his ground for more than 10 minutes against Sabo with the mera mera no mi and Sabo himself acknowledged his strength

In the Colosseum he destroyed his armor, nothing crazy. It is remarkable DFless Burgess managed to stand his ground against the second in command of the revolutionary army.
About their second clash, it is true he was still getting used to the mera mera no mi, still I would say he was certainly stronger and more lethal than before. What Burgess achieved is truly exceptional.
Their fight started a few moments after Luffy told Gatz he would have needed 10 minutes to recover his haki, and ended a bit after Luffy defeated Doflamingo. 10+ minutes seems like a fair guess. I don't think he stood there watching Doflamingo playing with Violet or civilians getting killed just to toy with Burgess. His hands were full

so for context lol the literal chapter that Sabo "fights" Burgess is called 4 minutes before meanwhile the fight starts at 3minutes til Birdcage closes LMFAO so good try... & Sabo sends Burgess flying across DR hhahaha after in which Burgess is off paneled in less than 3minutes and is casually walking away which i honestly doubt Sabo did any additional hits given he only chased him to where he landed & then he got fire gunned and lost lol 2 hits thats 2 hits that sabo used that neg diffed Burgess.

Normally it should be one of the strongest fruits. Multiplying your physical strength while keeping the same body weight is a cheat code. It's how Luffy's G2 doping effect works aswell.
Besides unmatched lifting strength it should also result into much, much higher physical attack power and far far greater movement speed.
It's like the effects of Byrnndi World's DF in a sense, that movie antagonist.

My gut feeling is that it’s a fruit that Oda has planned for him since the beginning, but as the series has went on and the scale has gotten bigger and bigger it’s going to look a bit meh compared to what other characters can do naturally. It might still have an impressive non powerscaling scene though (like he picks up the Noah entirely by himself or something).
That happens at the end of the chapter and they literally stopped the birdcage the following chapter or so. Most of Burgess vs Sabo is off panel, look at how Sabo goes after him

There wasn't much to add, in the Colosseum he just destroyed his armor piece. Burgess was totally fine after their first clash. The anime isn't canon so it shouldn't make any difference

Point 3 covers a much longer time span than you are making it seems. And even if it didn't, the fight lasted at the very least 4 minutes + the finale of the Doffy vs Luffy fight. That's a lot of time in the OP world, people go down in a single hit when things gets serious. Burgess is incredibly sturdy and managed to hold his own against a YC1+ character.
