Sounds like cope to be honest. You know it's trash writing. I have seen comments on YouTube/reddit and other forums where people are surprised Zoro is related to Ryuma. Most people just read the manga or watch the anime, something that important should be included in the main medium.

It probably wasn't included because it's really not blind blowing or important information, Ryuma has no role in the story outside of Wano Legend, and Zoro being descendant of him really doesn't affect anything, it was just a little fun fact that Oda decided on last minute

Besides just because it was first revealed in an SBS doesn't mean it won't be mentioned or bought up in the main story at some point down the line

Ryuma reveal in the Yamato backstory, and Ryuma reveal alongside Zoro fighting King, saying both of them were one-eyed fighters.
And have a striking resemblance.

That was already enough to tell Zoro was connected to Shimotsuki.

Now, the family tree. It was the family tree.
Stretching from Zoro's grandmother to even his cousins.

False dichotomy anyway. Nothing about Moria is stopping Oda from focusing on Zoro's lineage at all, if anything it would simply be because Oda spent Wano more focused on Luffy if anything. And Moria getting his family history in a cover story is barely any more justice then the SBS, no one is really taking either cover stories or SBS very seriously

All agendas aside, I think Moria's reveal functions toward yet another parallel with the AK.
Two "brothers", one runs away, one stays behind to fight for the country.
One breaks bad, the other (stupidly) sacrifices himself for the good of the people.
I think Oden & Moria are meant to mirror JoyBoy and the evil D. of his era (Marshall?).

That's not really the kind of lineage reveals that is necessary or add something to the story. And I prefer for Moria to not be tied in any way to Wano and the Kozuki.

The Moria reveal is indeed B.S when there was no hints of it in Oden flashback. No foreshadowing and nobody being sad that Moria lost to Kaido even though he a Kozuki.
