Garling never implies the thing they are after is D. Clan members. Hell, Garp and his son are employed by the very same organization. Also the spoilers dont seem to make the implication Teach and his mother are singled out, they are just one of the many slaves being hunted.

The Davy D Clan has secretly been on God valley for 800 years. It’s highly unlikely there’s only one member of the clan alive in the entire island. Especially since they weren’t under any danger so why would only one of them exist.
