Kuma might not WANT to kill off Zoro, but he KNOWS Zoro is half-dead already and the amount of pain is enough to even knock out Kuma himself. Zoro didn't die there because Sanji managed to get Chopper in time to treat him.
So while he didn't WANT to kill Zoro, he certainly ALMOST did.
he had no guarantee that Zoro was gonna survive or get treatment fast enough if he did.

Let's stop acting as if Oda thought it through carefully and just didnt write things as he though it would sound cool.

Can I just ask what is the point of saving these race reveals? Like what would effectively be the difference for the reader if Kuma was introduced as a Buccaneer or Xebec as a Davy, etc? We still wouldn't know what that actually means, so it wouldn't give away the plot if it had been part of the character's introductions.

Looking forward to seeing Dragon shoot a CD, though. Hope the GK lineup has some more details about each one and isn't silhouettes.
