Again, if I had to guess, the mountain is probably a natural fortress. So, if Ochoko blocked all the entrances, getting in would be very difficult.

But Koby saving the people that were kidnapped or whatever seemed to have drawn Ochoko out...and to the not so tender mercies of Teach

Also, I would say it's a safe bet he is dead now.
