I don't think BM was to be defeated in WCI. It took luffy 3 powerups to barely beat Kaido for example.

Zoro got Killer, Hawkins, Apoo, Kaido/Big Mom, King in Wano (+ Gyukimaru, Denjiro skirmish and more). Also gave Drake the shits + Queen when they saw what Zoro could do.

So in WCI I would say

First fight: Oven/Daifuku or someone around 300-500M
Final fight: Cracker

He ain't fighting a female so that rules Smoothie out. Big Mom is an exception and even her he only cut her weapons (Prometheus). Perhaps Zoro could have fought Smoothie by breaking her sword/spirit but Cracker seems more likely.

If zoro went he'd probably have fought Cracker instead of luffy fighting him. Or he would have been like the rest of the crew and didn't have a specific 1 v 1 fight but be a key part in the group fight.

Just because someone was gifter/pleasure level without the daddy genes doesn’t mean the grandmaster was at the same level. Pretty sure he would beat Cracker or Smoothie and the crew would not bother trying to save that pathetic loser, who is too spineless to poison the bloody cake and cannot even protect a bento box from a bit of rain and a rabid dog.

Well he is definitely a threat to big mom. He has ryou, superior sword in shusui, better haki control with shusui most of all her durability is less than Kaido. Big mom reacting to enma a weaker sword is something of note as well. Nami did also say bring zoro and rest of crew if bm herself was the target to fight And beat
