You're assuming they even get a fight. Every Strawhat doesn't get a fight in every arc. Just look at Egghead
Luffy and Zoro were the only Strawhats that got full fights
This isn't Wano where almost every Strawhat gets their own fully fleshed out matchup. I'd honestly be surprised if any Strawhat not named Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and Usopp got full fights

Sanji just didn’t beat anyone on screen, but he was involved in fights, specially against the Seraphim and different Gorosei. The biggest difference here is that Zoro fought a 1vs1 who lasted more, but even then he didn’t beat his opponent like he usually does, Lucci was still standing even if very hurt
1) Kumadori restrained her
2) S-Shark grabbed her neck, this upset Sanji quite a bit

All in all though, there have hardly been any situation when a male character has physically assulted Nami (i.e. she's usually saved just before any proper damage is done) and honestly the worst of the bunch is looking like S-Shark and he got absolutely decimated by Sanji as a result.
@Juanpiz post on the death sentence thing reminded of a theory I've had in mind for a bit now (i.e. not sure if I've posted it on here yet) that ties the whole death sentence ting to my speculation on a potential devil transformation for Sanji.
Sanji using the word "death sentence" has been a recurring theme since Egghead.
He used this rhetoric against S-Shark when the latter attacked Nami on Egghead and then again on Elbaf when that giant Lion ting was attacking Nami at the start of Elbaf. So reckon Oda could potentially be setting up something for him with it.
Considering all of Sanji ties to the devil (I.e his fire abilities - 悪魔 (Demon/Diable) ⇨ 魔神 (High Demon/Ifrit) his devil quotes and even his gag Satan like transformations when he gets very angry, this whole Sanji kingdom executions could be alluding to Satan, the King of Hell, which I think will be his next powerup 魔王 (Demon King). Reckon his CoC will be manifest itself in this form.
To summarize:
- Executioner ting is tied to Nami getting hurt.
- Devil of the Blue Sea quote on Skypiea is tied to Nami getting hurt
- Sommers is a ‘god’ which ties to the above devil quote and has a record of hurting women and is coincidentally in charge of the giant kids who Nami is going to try to save.
- Powerup wise 魔王 (Demon King) seems to be natural progression for Sanji (悪魔/Akuma/Diable⇨魔神/Majin/Ifrit⇨魔王/Maou/Satan?)
- its strongly implied that Sanji will manifest CoC this arc.
Feel like all of those things might come full circle this arc

To be honest even though I understood what Sanji was doing there when I read that chapter I also felt some type of way about it tbh
particularly coz it felt like Sanji was getting a lot more bad moments than good ones at the time.Tbf that bit of writing right there is one of reasons why Sanji is the most layered SH from a characterization standpoint. Oda basically has the freedom to do anything with him.
Showing weakness & relying on your nakama in the way that Sanji did is good writing that perfectly captures one of the core themes of ONE PIECE which is that it’s okay to depend on your nakama and not carry the burden of everything alone and also addresses what Yuderon brought up about Robin.
Plus moment hits even harder with Sanji than a Ussop or a Franky for example precisely bcoz of how strong he is. Oda could have never done that with Zoro or Luffy as they simply don’t have those layers to their character.

Even without Conqueror's Haki, Sanji should be able to protect himself from Sommers' DF ability.
Sommers may use Robin as a hostage.
His thorns shouldn't be able to get past the exoskeleton, it also does DF fuckery damage through emotions, so it might.

Not exactly. Luffy trained under Rayleigh then trained in Udon prison under Hyougoro while also facing a multitude of powerful opponents on a consistent basis. His conquerors haki development has been through training and a gradual exposure to the higher levels of haki in combat. While yes emotions play a role in any characters growth, it's not quite as visceral as with Sanji. What I'm suggesting is that his ability to manifest passion/emotions into an elemental power is possibly the basis upon which he'll access COC, or at least tap into it.
Sanji won't require a training tool, but rather a stimulus extreme enough to push him to his emotional threshold where it can manifest into a power that allows him to bypass the Knight's regen, similar to him breaking physics by destroying a laser beam. It doesn't have to be mastery, just momentary access to defeat his enemy, like Zoro with BOAT against Mr. 1. Think of it like Sanjis emotions are his Enma, that's the thing pulling the power out. Other characters have swords, but they don't have Enma, just like other characters have emotions, but not like Sanji.
I agree that the DR route would be the most satisfying, it feels like a justifying scenario. Though we've also never seen Sanji truly incapable of saving a woman, where she'll certainly die and he's completely helpless, this could be a possible upcoming scenario. But when it comes to being an "asspull", of course it is, a lot of the power ups Oda writes aren't great from that perspective. But we know Sanji is unlocking this power, we can only discuss the reason for it. Sanji doesn’t have regen like the HK‘s. The Germa siblings were said to have increased regeneration compared to normal humans, they simply heal wounds faster. A wound a normal person would need a week to heal, they might heal in a day or something.
You are maybe referring to Sanji fixing his body after he got crushed by Queen, well he didn’t heal it, he punched everything back into place.
