Their statements are made under the assumption that he straight up raw beat Harald, which was no the case. As Harald himself stressed and rushed Loki to kill him before Imu could take control again, meaning them mfs is cooked once Imu takes control of Harald.
It's no different than somebody seeing Luffy vs Kizaru and seeing Kizaru get put down, then assuming, well Kizaru gg you tried your best buddy, Luffy just built different (which is literally what Saturn assumed), while we the readers know Kizaru was still capable of going. Similarly, they assumed Loki simply stopped him by straight up overpowering him, which was not the case. Ironically, the portion of the fandom who fought hard to defend Borsalino's mental nerfs, now just ignores it for this fight lol.

No these statements are made under reality that they are incapable of hurting Herald.
And Herald was just as much in control of Imu against Shanks and Gaban as he was against Loki.
You are willing to deny actual occurrences of Manga to push your agenda and gate keeping some power level in One Piece which is old news. I know it is hard for you to admit it but we are at the stage of manga where admirals are worth less than a banana and their power levels are less than that of cockroaches compared to actual strongest.
And if it makes you feel any better Yonkous are just as much the same.

@soupongo Ngl if Oda actually just does make Loki’s fruit into an ancient companion of Nika, or another half of the Sun God, I think it’s safe to say that Oda is just winging th 1st/2nd world lore. It just creates too many head scratchers.
1. Why is Nika’s black dragon companion never mentioned in the Harley text while the Earth God’s companion (Hellfire Serpent) is?
2. Why did Xebec think the Elbaf fruit could overcome Imu if it’s just Nika’s pet?
3. Why would Loki, a guy introduced like 90% of the way through the story, become effectively the deuteragonist of the story (which would kinda have to be the case if he is the other half of the Sun God or the Sun God’s #1 companion)?
4. If the dragon on the tree is just a Nika underling or 2nd Nika, then where tf is the Forest God on the mural?
5. Why was Loki’s fruit hyped to be a world ending threat if it’s objectively not even a top 4 fruit?
6. Why is Loki way more powerful than Sun God Luffy rn?
7. Why isn’t Ragnir just serving Nika directly, and instead following Nika’s pet?
Loki being the Forest God makes the story much simpler and much more coherent. Hope Oda doesn’t fumble this

Kaido was hyped for and he hyped his special lineage, his "Not being a human, but a creature"; an instrument of war. He even said it to Yamato:
Loki too has a special lineage that made other people fear and hate him, only much, much better.

Kaido was hyped to be the big, baddest thug of his kingdom; Loki was exactly the same, only of Erbaf, the country of War.
Loki surviving as a toddler and not managing to die as a child >> Kaido falling as a 60 YO, dragon man with scales.
On this, Oda made basically a 1:1.
It's not hard: Kaido has elemental powers, Loki has much better ones. Which is expected, since they both are dragons. And once again, Kaido looked like the tiny version of Loki.
As Luffy, as Imu, etc. So Nika is the same as Onimaru?
Doesn't change that there are two dragon fruits and Kaiod turned out to have the cheap version of Loki's.
And once again, Loki got the far more legendary, stronger blut weapon. Reference to Mjolnir and as strong as a top tier itself.
Those are mostyl 1:1 comparisons which Oda likely wanted to make:
Mutant ancient giant > Oni
Falling as a toddler > Kaido at 60
Baddest thug in Erbaf > Baddest thug in vodka
God dragon fruit > Walmart version Dragon fruit
