Mihawk only went after Don and his crew because they disturbed his sleep. It's not because he was looking for east blue fodders to fight has you claimed. In fact, he didn't even finish them off because he found something more interesting to do. That's further proof he doesn't hang in east blue to fight fodders.
After Mihawk beats Zoro, he tells him he will wait at the top for however long it takes for Zoro to be a worthy opponent. He wouldn't have to wait for Zoro to be a worthy opponent if he had other worthy opponents to fight.
The vivre card tells us he's waiting for a swordsman stronger than Shanks. If there were more worthy opponents to fight he wouldn't be waiting for one. Vivre cards are canon.

You're correct. I believe one of the main benefits of CoC is its ability to counter other power including DF, magic, demonic, and even haki. When I say counter I'm talking about using that power to stop an opponent from using their power. That would explain why Shanks is called FS killer. He's using CoC haki to stop a CoO user from using CoO haki.

I know that currently Killingham is kinda like a placeholder character, but he will be a cool Zoro opponent, don't hate him, Zoro fans. He has some aura at least.
