Luffy, Law, and Kid are rivals too

Luffy and Kid even got a panel similar to Roger and Rocks.

Rivals doesn’t mean equals. This was Rocks’s era. Whitebeard, who was stated to be Roger’s equal, was a subordinate of Rocks.

There’s tbh no reason to think DR Rocks had a haki buff. Haki can be measured by CoO users. Literally nobody around Rocks stated his haki magically got stronger. All we know that Imu can grant is physical strength and regeneration.

Rocks had no DF and was still superior to Whitebeard. His haki being that strong is reasonable.

It's not like Luffy, Law and Kid at all, because those guys are out of the game. Kid and Law were not the dominant figures of any era.

It's like Luffy, Shanks and Blackbeard, because they lead this era. Rocks, Garp, Roger led that era.

This is never going to be a serious argument. Luffy´s PL progression is just that high, but it´s true that for most of the manga( pre Wano), he was around the same level as those two. Since the end of Wano, despite the bounties, his status in verse has been much higher, and Luffy hasn´t viewed those two as serious rivals or obstacles.

Luffy´s legitmate rivals now would be Blackbeard and Shanks, yes

Yeah but you most be daft if you think DR is a times two multiplier lmao besides since it doesn’t affect haki it’s genuinely a debate if Roger can do anything to base Rox who’s CoC barrier can block just about anything

CoC was buffed, it's CoC 101.

I figured because it wasn’t stated or hinted at that he got a haki boost that it was all Rock’s power, he was the de facto number 1 of that pirate era afterall. Like we get straight up told hey he got a physical boost and regen, and physical stats are usually treated like a separate category in this series. I took it as, this guys pk level for sure, knowing that Roger doesn’t hit his prime for another decade at least.
