Also with clearer scans. I still don’t see the whole “mechanical heart” that people are claiming Sommers has. Honestly it looks more like how Queen described Judges goal for his DNA alteration, a Heart of Ice
There is something going on with his heart. That thing is massive compared to a normal human heart and it does look metallic. Also, he wanted us to focus on the heart so it is important

As of today, I think it is a metallic coating all HK have to protect the source of their immortality. To kill a HK, you have to destroy the actual heart inside the casing

It’s definitely an odd heart; I also think it’s an aftermath of Imus power especially since we’re shown that the heart still beats despite it not being connected to anything

my man is tired of packing up fodder knights
First it was parts of the JP fandom calling them scrubs lol but now even in world characters are calling the Holy Bums, what they are, "Bums" lol and @Monster Zoro's Tesla Supplier trying to somehow convince me the Holy Bums are world beaters still lol
Even though mans was advocating for Wings v Dorry and Broggy with these guys as a an appetizer only a few weeks ago :whitepress:

It's clear as night and day that Oda is going to up the ante for this arc very soon, all of Sanji's comments here hint at that (predicting that doesn't make you some sort of schiolar lol) but at least you gotta try to make a convincing argument of how Oda's going to do so and not just be going on about Holy Knights showing some sorta hidden bag after they've gotten trashed on almost every occasion since their introduction.

Sommers and Kiringham are too weak. Even if they keep regenerating like cockroaches, you cannot write a bloody fight with them against the wings with their current medicore fighting abilities as we will just get a sequence of "swift diff -> intermission -> regen".
So if those two are going to end up being opponents for the wings they need another unhoiy powerup from daddy imu but at that point, Oda should just introduce new characters tbh. Sommers has the love theme going for him so you could somehow trying to make wine outta water with that shit but Kiringham v Zoro has absolutely no legs to stand on.

You're still doing this after Sommers was shown regenerating? Weird.

Yeah thats pretty much where i stand currently.

And while i agree new opponents would be better i cant imagine that being the case with the setup.

Imu sends Shamrock (who clearly seems to be portrayed as the current strongest HK) to elbaf with gunko, but he needs him back. So he sends sommers and Killingham. Then they start to get packed up by Gaban so he intervenes with a Gunko amp. Than they still get packed and he goes back to go away from the holy land (almost confirmed to be elbaf in his "real" body)

He even tells the gorosei that he will be away, who clearly outrank the HK so if he needs backup why not take them?

So yeah current prediction would be Imu comes down, gives Another boost and that would be the fights

As for zoro idc tbh the last good thematicly good fight of zoro was against Ryuma in TB:josad: Sowhatever

Tbh atp can't really see any rhyme or reason with regard to what Oda is trying to do with the Holy Knights, just feels like he's stalling to preserve them until the moment when he wants to deal Imu damage from their deaths or something as the only value they have at this point is the fact that their deaths can deal damage to Imu.

I know I say this everytime but Oda can be so rubbish with his writing at times. His poor handling of the HK's regen has now led to the point where let's even say that Oda buffs up Bummers and Bellingham and their fighting capabilities go up through the roof. Even if our protagonists overcome that boost in prowess, we will still be back to square one as they will just regen again unless they are killed so buff or no buff their defeats don't hold any real value at this point unless you can put them out of their misery. Same applies to Oda introducing stronger Holy Knights that can use CoC coating for example.

So what even is the point of a buff or introducing stronger knights.

If Oda had kept consistency with Gaban's statement about continious CoC attacks being able to render them unable to fight to take them out of the arc after a defeat then introducing stronger holy knights with CoC coating would flow seemleasly as the objective at that point would be to overcome their CoC coating and doing that will allow you to defeat them but atm everthing is a mess.

Btw on Zoro I thought his fight against King was pretty decent tbh but what made the fight good from a charatcerization standpoint for him I think was his CoC awakening but it's true that his fights do lack proper focus with regards development into the WSS.
There was a lot of that pre-ts with him struggling to cut steel in the Buggy fight and then Oda making him grow to be able to do so against M1 with breath of all things or even with air slashes but post-ts Oda's made him into this mary sue type character that is always aura farming and has forgone all of that focus on development as a swordsman :josad:
