Controversial Only 5 years old would be hyped by Imu

My issues with Imu are different.
His design is over the top, too crammed, like a 5 year old would wish a final boss to look like. Basically add everything.
And he is extremely uninteresting as a character.
Yea I just give up on that already. He can become an interesting character in the future though.

Subjective. It matches the aesthetic of Nika.

.
Well everyone has a right to an opinion ofc, but if Oda is really focusing on trying to create a dicotomy with Nika, I think it loses the fact that Imu should look like European royalty, like the Gorosei do, and with the Catholic church/Rome theming. Imu has the same bracelets as like.....Kaido and Katakuri. I don't think the theming is working very well.

Well given what Rayleigh says about knowing the True History, its more complicated than you think. So...yes?
The conflict between the Ancient kingdom and the 20 kings can be complicated.... but we all know the conflict between Soyboy and Imu will be anything but. One represents freedom, and probably Luffy style piracy, while the other allowed and encourage the Tennrybuto to act the way they do, and is trying to sink the world.
Didnt he sic Rocks on everyone? That was the point. Kizaru captured literally no one on Sabaody save for fodder pirates lol....
It falls flat when you remember he doesn't need to send rocks after everyone, he could have Domni reversi'd multiple people on GV, and basically no relevant characters would be alive in the current story, at least not Luffy and Teach.

Oda is hyping Imu with a complexity of a 5 years old would.

What Imu did in fact? He is effective I can't deny that. In a 9 page chapter he saved all his nakamas including one frozen by an ice that shouldn't be melted that lasted what? 2 chapters? How can we validate Loki words like that?

And then what about reactions? We surely have people commenting about him being stronger than fodders Knights but no reaction beats this

Yeah Kizaru landing on Egghead had way more weight than Imu on Elbaph or even Gorosei on Egghead.

Now let's address the elephant in the room. I know that narratively there is a tendency to think that later villains and introductions characters aside from protagonists will always be stronger. But being by Oda incompetence or the way he wants to tell the story he shows otherwise.

Narratively would make sense for Imu to be top of the verse. But what happened? Kizaru seems to be more dangerous.
Funny how your understanding of One Piece aligns with your understanding of everything else
