Fanclub The V̶i̶n̶s̶m̶o̶k̶e̶ Sanji FC: The Prince of love
I regard Sanji as a Rosetta Stone for many of the central themes, motifs and mysteries in One Piece. It's very difficult to cover all my thoughts without getting lost in the weeds, but I will try.
Energy and science are central to One Piece.
Long before the proliferation of cyborgs, lasers, mechs and revelations about the Ancient Kingdom, the Skypiea Saga and Enel's cover story introduced technologies that could store and release energy (Dials), a ship that could fly by means of engineered energy (Maxim), and an advanced civilisation (Moon People).
This was also when we first learned of Haki, which we now understand as a spiritual energy, as well as the four deities: Sun God, Earth God, Rain God and Forest God. (I'm not entirely convinced the Rain God and Sea God are separate entities, but that doesn't really matter for now.)
There are four fundamental forces of nature: gravity, electromagnetism, strong nuclear force and weak nuclear force. (Don't get hung up on their names or order of strength, it's complicated.)
The Mother Flame mimics the Sun to yield effectively limitless energy.
Relating this to Sanji, I believe Lilith's comments in ch 1065 on energy from an undying flame (i.e. Mother Flame) to be instructive.
Like Haki, Oda has written of love as a type of spiritual energy. The key difference being it bypasses the limitations of reality imposed by laws of mechanics (Garp), biology (Kuma), and physics (Sanji). Harnessing this transcendent energy is what we understand as Power of Love.
Love is the reason why Sanji started cooking, dreams of the All Blue, and became strong.
In other words, love is transformative and the reason why Sanji can do things that shouldn't be possible.
This quality maps very fittingly on weak interaction force and allows for an understanding of how the remaining 3 forces relate to the forms of Haki.
I believe different combinations yield different results.
Meaning, it could appear like a white flames version of the Omen nuke.

- Lady Radar = PoL + Observation
- Future Sight = Observation + Conqueror’s
- Sanji's Future Sight = PoL + Observation + Conqueror's
- Sanji's Next Flame = PoL + Conqueror’s

Super Sommers has a sword (kinda).
That's all Oda needs to make a character a Zoro's opponent lmao
But yeah, it's really strange, Super Sommers seemed to have written "Sanji's fight of the arc" in the forehead.
Anyways, it's difficult to imagine how Sanji vs Killingham will play. They have a fighting style that doesn't fit really well with each others, trident vs kicks.
It will probably be something like Cracker vs Luffy, with Killingham spamming MMA.
