This is the formation of the German 2014 WC winner which is the same one he is currently using for England. I can't say if he is trying to emulate the success of 2014 WC but I can see some strong resemblance here. The players also have similar built. However this time is different. France is having a full stars prime Brazil squad. Spain is having a solid defense. Argentina is having a strong Messi system (no pun intended).
Another problem is some players are having trouble adapting into the system even to this day, not the full 11 players at least which is going to be a problem facing Argentina.
