This is my problem with him and his crew
the early characterisation portrayed him and the Rocks pirates as baddies and « evil »
And yet Oda went an extra mile to soften the blow and portrayed them in a lighter way than expected
I wasn’t a fan of that. I don’t mind at all Xebec not being an evil monster, and I even liked that but I think Oda went a bit too far in the « hero » thing
Oda did tell that he cleansed towns after towns
Problem is anything bad he did was mostly off screened and anything good he did was highlighted more and more.
Oda won't have good guys that wouldn't think twice about harming children ( Loki).
He's evil but not that evil compared to WG
But with his relatively small crew he was already destroying countries and doing cleansing, God knows how much damage he could do if he had massive weapons and armies of WG.
I'm still conflicted about Rocks. I was indifferent, then liked him but then dislike him.
His man management in particular is bad. None really respected him in the crew, none think twice to ditch him once things get hard.
None really cared why he become Domi Reversi . They all had collective amnesia about Rocks existence afterwards
The main thing about Rocks is his "Echo".
He singlehandedly started the chain to destabilize 800 y.o strong world order and it's eventually downfall in just roughly around 50 years+.
