How can one man's takes be so based on one topic (One Piece), but so cringe on another (you know what I'm referring to). Maybe your takes in THAT thread are also based and I'm just not enlightened enough yet to see it?
When you read a story it goes BOTH ways : the author shares his vision, but you will ALSO share your own biases & interpretations to understand it. Do not forget it.
You are NOT the characters. They have their OWN desires, strengths, needs and weaknesses. The parasocial bond that you create with agendas makes you forget it.
Today, Oda would be trashed on for Killing Ace in the way he did it and it would take weeks before someone finally explain why it happened and why it's great.
Critics are essential, but when you are projecting yourself too FAR in the writing, you stop being a reader and you start being a writer. So, be a writer.
Fun fact, Usopp's fear, Zoro's cut, Sanji's power etc.. are very similar to Luffy's gear 5. They are influenced by how the character see the world.>>
What this means is that if Usopp thinks something is scary, he will be scared, but strangely, you will find him jump into the ocean of cloud without a hint of fear when it's actually ULTRA dangerous. Or play with mygals for ex.
I know you don't believe me when I say this. But you won't discover OP twice in your life. This experience is too unique. Don't waste it to troll or hate..
Btw, I saw Kol compare Shanks's first bump to Goku's memory loss to explain the lack of dehumanizing stuff. He was probably joking but just as a clarifier: Celestial Dragons are not born racist f*cks.
Yamato : *Accomplishing a dream, following Oden's footstep as promised, creating peace in Wano, becoming Oden*
Reactors : "Nothing happened"
Meanwhile in the world of nothingness: "Why are these fools ringing again? I hate One Piece!"
Some of the one piece community may hate one piece, but dragon ball youtubers despise dragon ball super, can't watch videos without them bringing up, even though for me it is by far the best one
