I always thought that all of the stuff Sunny have + the engine and etc comes from Pluton blueprints.

It was just the place where Vegapunk started, and Vegapunk is still far more intelligent and skilled when it comes to technology than Franky and had decades to perfect his knowledge and genius and has far more and more advanced ressources at his disposal. Franky's inventions may be impressive but so far it's very very far from a warship so powerful it can annihilate entire countries and threaten the entire world.

Well Franky is a shipwright not a Genius Sciencist/Inventor. I think Franky did a pretty good job studying at Vegapunk's place + the blueprints of Pluton.

Absolutely agree, whatever was in Baldimore had to be rudimentary and inelegant...but Vegapunk’s been said to be 500 years ahead of his time, so even the shit he came up with as a kid would be more technologically advanced that a lot of shit in the relatively primitive OP world.

I think Franky’s competent enough to recreate some of the stuff he saw in that lab, but Vegapunk himself will be leagues beyond him whenever he’s fully introduced. Seen plenty of theories listing him as a member of the Revolutionaries, which would give him a natural avenue to teach Franky more stuff when that group finally collides with the SHP.

I wonder about VP's motives. He granted Kuma's wish on one hand but on the other, he works for WG. A lot of people believe that he does it because they threatened him but do they? What if Vegapunk is this mad scientist who would let Revos + Pirates + Marines kill each other for the sake of the progress? @Jew D. Boy @Buusatan94 What do you think about VP's character from the personality standpoint?
Buusatan94

Personally I would prefer it if Vegapunk is a member of SWORD rather than a revolutionary.

I think I dig the idea of mad sciencist. OP scheme is boring. You are either Revo, WG or Pirate.

@Seth I answered your question before you even asked it 🤣 It would make sense if VP is also a Revo; he’d be able to control Kuma while still knowing how to restore him when the time comes, and why shouldn’t the group trying to destroy the WG have an inside man like that??
Jew D. Boy
Jew D. Boy
I could see him as SWORD as well, but there has to be more than meets the eye to his relationship with Kuma.

I imagine Vegapunk as a kinda crazy old genius guy but who really wants to benefit humanity in his mind. I think that he's kinda nice but that he has also a more ruthless side that thinks that sacrifices have to done for the sake of science and humanity though he's far from being as crazy, cruel and sadistic as Caesar.

He is known for memorizing projects so this doesn't look far fetched at all
Finalbeta
Finalbeta
I believe he is fully aware of what's the right way to craft Pluton as a whole, I hope the manga will focus more on the ancient weapons

I also wonder if Blackbeard will ever ask Franky about the project, pretty sure he craves for any AW project
Jew D. Boy

@Finalbeta Blackbeard would have plenty of reason to go after Robin (and very well may), wouldn’t surprise me if he targeted Franky for this very reason.

@Jew D. Boy Tbh. It's so cheap but I think with the strategist that Blackbeard is I think he already know the secret of the ponyglyph langauge.

@Seth You think it’s VOAT? Or he somehow knows the language?
Finalbeta

I wish Franky managed to attain VOAT later on the story ♡

@Jew D. Boy Hmm here I'm little conflicted because Roger had VOAT but he coudln't understand the language. I think BB could potentially hav e VOAT and knowledge of poneglyph language due to Blackbeard being "THEM" not "HE".
