Not an actual problem, but I got accepted for my dream job as an officer in the military in my country(which is a big deal) and we go for training and studying for about 9 months without having our phones.

It’s something similar to the US military boot camp if I’m not mistaken.

U.S boot camp is 8 to 13 weeks depending on the branch followed by 4 to 80 weeks of training depending on the job

If it's really your dream job and that it is at the height of your expectations then it should only be a small and temporary downside for you.
