So is itachi good enough to quickly look at Orochimaru and put him under a Sharingan genjutsu without the latter realizing it for an unknown period of time, or did Itachi use a sharingan genjutsu without direct eye contact lol?

Itachi might be able to reflect his Sharingan through the eyes of his crows. Imagine a swarm of crows attacking you from all sides and one of them has the Sharingan. gg.

Well we didn't when the genjutsu was released, but from a logical stand I always assumed that Kishi wanted to parallel the Itachi vs Oro to Sasuke vs Oro. Oro even literally flashbacks the same thing happening to him before

Imagine if Oda didn't give Itachi debilitating lung cancer and then also blind him. He spent the last 5~ years of his life stagnating, if he was healthy he'd probably be Hashirama level by the Pein Arc.

I think it's Susanoo who weakened him. Sasuke in the summit talked about it affecting the cells, imagining how it could have been with Itachi, and Itachi had his MS since 13 without possibility to switch to EMS

All I know is that Itachi was a prodigy; Hokage reasoning at the age of 5, Anbu leader at the age of 13. With the Uchiha being the most feared clan alongside the Senju, possessing incredible eye power, which is dated back to Indra himself. So I think some people are underestimate Itachi's capability to provoke eye contact. Kabuto had extremely good sensory abilities and on top of that, had to cover his eyes.

Kabuto gave himself like, 5 different ways to sense Itachi without having to open his eyes. That's how deadly one glance at Itachi could be.

I think Susano'o is the leading cause for blindness, otherwise Sasuke's sharp decline into blindness makes no sense. He just got the MS lol. But I don't know if I'd tie Itachi's health issues to that. Seems too convenient for one issue to be the cause of two dire medical issue

Just remember how Kabuto called Amaterasu perfect offense, which, with Kagutsuchi, is turned into the perfect defense. The more dumb Kishimoto treated Amaterasu later. Raikage had to cut off his arm despite he was covered in his armor. Later Naruto just pushed Amaterasu off of his skin with Bijuu Chakra. Heck, even Madara just absorbed it with a casual absorption while being unaffected by pain.

Sasuke's over reliance on Amaterasu killed the jutsu tbh. Kishi can't have it maintain the same level of power as it did when Itachi used it, or when Sasuke used it early on, if he's going to rely on that jutsu every fight. I would've liked it more if Sasuke played around with other jutsu instead of solely relying on his MS. I

IMO, the MS is a great ability and the EMS ruins it. The trade-offs for strong techniques really sells a fight. Itachi stopping to focus Amaterasu during the Sasuke fight and seeking his eye gush blood? That's cool. Madara using Perfect Susano'o or Mokuton clones to spam Susan'o V3? Doesn't awe me at all.

Yeah. The EMS was fine as a means to not lose his eye sight. But the perfect Susanoo was a bit over the top, the power levels from then on elevated through the roof. They should've kept it lower with the power levels.

Also wtf was that with Black Zetsu being actually the creator of the Shinobi history, fooling Indra and having Uchiha and Senju fight over a fake info on the Uchiha plate. Lol. Especially when black Zetsu came out of old Madara's hand, with latter thinking that he created black Zetsu.

There's no telling what went through Kishi's head because he was apparently happy with how Naruto ended lol. Black Zetsu was lame as Hell. I remember hearing theories about Zetsu being Tsunade's brother, who was experimented on by Orochimaru. Thought that was cool as Hell. Nah, turns out he's IT victims from 1000 years ago.

And Black Zetsu was just a means to explain the manga and build him/Kaguya up as enemies, because he didn't do so appropriately before hand lol. Which is a shame because I love the idea of Kaguya but her execution is so shit.
