Yeah. I don't read Naruto but sometimes skip through the manga for amusement. Imo Boruto is utter bullshit. It is so, redundant. Again some members of the Ootsutsuki-clan, again the same old boring stuff the enemies want to accomplish, resurrect some Juubi clone. Taking over the world or whatever. Didn't Jiraiya with the combined strength of Tsunade struggle to beat an Orochimaru whose arms were sealed off? The same Orochimaru that was neg diffed by a base Sharingan Genjutsu. Jiraiya felt the need to enter Sage Mode against Animal-Path and even that was some struggle. :kappa:

Jiraya was nerfed from drug and Orochimaru had Kabuto helping him for the summonings and other stuffs and eventhen, Orochimaru got stomped in the end. With that said i agree that Orochimaru and Base Jiraya are in the same tier, but SM Jiraya is a tier higher than Orochimaru

The moment Itachi saw Jiraya was guarding Naruto, he said if he tried him head on, they'd kill each other, tried to use a girl as a bet to avoid him and In one move, Jiraya forced Itachi to flee and rely on amaterasu. With the latter events of how he was freaking when Kabuto implied to learn sage mode, it's likely he was fearing Jiraya's SM.

Or Itachi had no intention to kill Jiraiya. After all he only visited Konoha to scare Danzo. I mean, do you think Jiraiya would survive a point blank blitz with Totsuka? The Kage were struggling against incomplete forms of Susanoo when fighting Madara. And Madara has a usual Susanoo, no magical weapons whatsoever. And iirc, Jiraiya wasn' rally avoiding eye contact either, so Tsukuyomi would seal the deal. +Amaterasu

I think Jiraya is stronger than the Kages who fought Madara except Onoki. SM increases danger sensing, all Jiraya's ninjutsu, taijutsu stats are increased, possess sound techniques that could potentially stop Itachi from using Susanoo due to vibrations, genjutsu that could catch a rinnegan user in it via Ma/Pa.

I think you underestimate SM Jiraya's feats and portrayal. Even Pain, a rinnegan user, who is a tier higher than Itachi thought Jiraya could have won with knowledge.

Could've won because he could've aimed for the real Nagato who sits in his wheel chair, I guess. Since Jiraiya lost without the strongest path using his abilities. As for Pain vs Itachi, tbh I have a hard time seeing how Pain will beat Itachi. Susanoo with Totsuka and Yata is just a machine. One swipe of its sword will destroy most Pains. While Yata mirror could fend off Shinra Tensei.

Even the orb of Chibaku Tensei could be set on fire with Amaterasu. We saw that Chibaku Tensei strains Nagato as well extremely. Causing even nose bleeds.

Itachi has no way to deal with a concealed Animal Path(in cameleon) spamming summonings, especially the Cerberus he'd be forced to use amaterasu on. In the long run, Itachi would get tired. I don't think amaterasu will burn the orb fast enough. Itachi would be long crushed beforehand. A Chou Shinra Tensei that destroyed Konoha would crush him as well. Bansho tenin could move him out of Susanoo Gaara-style.

All Itachi's ninjutsu would be absorbed by preta path. Ashura missiles is another thing Itachi would need to focus on. Human path could take his soul. While taking all paths at the same time, it'd be too much for Itachi

I don't see Jiraiya being a tier above V2 Ay, Gaara, or Oonoki tbh. His sage sensing is shit, so a fullspeed Ay is going to present a real danger. And Gaara can create a desert biome easily. Jiraiya may beat them some of the time but I wouldn't put him a tier above them.

Healthy Itachi > Pein > Sick Itachi. What we saw from Edo Itachi physically would be difficult for Pein to keep up with.

One should not underestimate the stamina of a sick Itachi. He did not only use Tsukuyomi, he used an amount of Amaterasu that covered half of the Uchiha palace's roof in those black flame. Plus using the final stage of Susanoo for a prolonged time, even slowly walking towards Sasuke in the end with his Susanoo up. And that is an Itachi that stopped his medication.

What can the paths do against Susanoo? Tsunade's first punch only cracked the rib cage version of Susanoo a bit. Higher stages were knocked down without doing a scratch. While The skeleton Susanoo slices through Kimimaro's bones and Ashura path like butter. With Itachi having the Totsuka blade which can't be absorbed and Yata Mirror, which is said to block everything according to the manga.
