I fainted for the first time in my life today.
Basically I was at the gym in my mother's apartment building, and I guess I must have overdone it.
I ended up passing out twice in the lift, fell out when it opened and hit my head faceplanting. Luckily two people on that floor were there to see me and they helped me.
I'm pretty okay now, but damn the experience was harrowing at the time lol.

This panel literally spells it out that they are both playing around and that because of that he cant accomplish his mission and Luffy outright states that its his job. Egghead was a lore dumb/escape arc. And Oda treated it as such
