From a narrative/storytelling stand point. When characters are speaking about a character whose identity has yet to be revealed, you cannot deduce their exact gender identity just based on the pronouns people use in the narrative. Especially just Japanese pronouns.

It’s confusing because people can’t imagine a character stating that another character is not their biological sex and a character referring to themselves with a different pronoun than their biological sex. Its not that complicated folks, seriously. Kaido can refer to his daughter as a male...
