And yet, plenty of people are defending this and saying “Wooow!! That makes so much sense!!” without a hint of sarcasm in their post.
Is Oda implying that Oden never encountered deceit his whole entire life? Even on the Grand Line?
Chapter 971: The Boiler Pot
This is the final chapter of the flashback.
Momonosuke and Kaido have their first confrontation in this chapter.
"Your father is a foolish lord.... But...."
Oden's only regret is not being able to show the people of Wano the beautiful world.
All of the Azakaya...
It is amazing that you guys literally expected the main villain of this arc to fight fair against someone. I would be surprised if Kaido/Orochi didn't plan something underhanded to defeat Oden.
Plus: We've known since Chapter 920 that something underhanded took place, now we know what it was.
Kaido is not and has never been portrayed as a person who values a fair fight. He is a pirate, not to mention that he is literally the personification of barbarism.
Sees "vs" in the title....
Well. There's clearly going to be lots of constructive and meaningful discussion in this thread. Absolutely no incoherent shit storms about characters who are absolutely irrelevant to the current story. Totally.
I can't wait until the climax of the Fire Festival when we get to Kaido's flashback and see his perspective of the invasion of Wano, it's already giving me goosebumps.
I think there's going to be a lot of inverses between Oden and Kaido.
Food for thought:
Both Bartolomeo and Mr. 2 are from the East Blue. That would indicate that both the Bari Bari no mi and the Mane Mane no mi somehow ended up in the East Blue of all places.
What could that mean?
Shanks: You all know I hate doing this... It goes against my entire moral code to act as an informant against the courageous men and women who brave the seas in search of adventure—
Gorosei: Your cheeseburger has arrived
Shanks: Is there ketchup in the bag?
