3/10 right now because nami, sanji, and carrot keep getting shafted :josad: The only redeeming parts for me have been the Zoro hype and Robin’s chapter I really only care about the straw hats and some specific allies so I hate the fact that there’s so much focus on characters I don’t give a shit...

i just don’t see that happening when Oda has been setting up the current matchups and moving characters around for like over 30 chapters now.

I would rather this arc continue to be shit than for the raid to fail causing us to spend another 100 chapters in Wano

I think base Carrot would probably have a better performance against ulti than usopp and nami just because of her physically ability, but we’ve never seen her deal a lot of damage to someone so I don’t think she would defeat Ulti without sulong

I get that he loves to build tension by having the SHs weaker than their opponents but Oda desperately needs to give the SHs power ups because right now these fights are contrived

to me this chapter proves 100% tama won’t join. She’s important for the wano arc but 1. She can’t fight enemies herself at all 2. Her role in wano is clearly as a plot device which is shown by her controlling the smile users and big mom being nice to her 3. She needs even more plot armor than...

I’m still hoping the SHs fight the BB pirates on a deserted island like raftel or something without all the extra side characters and outside factors, and then later the marines will be the final antagonists with luffy vs Akainu being the main fight and then Imu being defeated easily which will...

It’s ok, I like a lot of the characters that were introduced during it and I loved the beginning/the chase at the very end but the assassination plot fell flat for me and overall it felt much longer than necessary. I’d probably give it a 6-7/10

Are you on Oda’s payroll or something? Yes clearly he kills characters sometimes, but there are just as many occasions where characters should have died but miraculously survive

The 3 major ones for me would be the repetitiveness of his writing in some arcs, PIS of characters when it’s convenient, and the refusal to kill characters even after putting them into situations where they obviously should have died. Also sabo’s existence

Oda is a good writer, one piece is just extremely long so his flaws become more apparent the longer it goes on

I don’t see her story ending in wano either but I’m very much over her :whitepress: Blackbeard and shanks are far more exciting at this point

I can see sanji or jinbei getting it but not the other SHs

If kaido is actually going to die then Zoro will 100% be the one to do it :cheers:

I’m still hesitant about Yamato and especially law because I really don’t think Oda will take away Sanji’s shine by adding two more characters that are stronger than him but I guess we’ll see I’m still of the opinion that Luffy’s “commanders” will be Zoro/Sanji/Jinbei

i agree and I think it’s the same for all the straw hats besides luffy and Zoro. They’re supposed to be becoming the #1 pirate crew but oda usually refuses to actually give them feats worthy of that

Maybe not at the beginning of the arc but I think it became obvious even before the tea party that big mom and her crew weren’t going to be completely defeated in that arc, whereas the opposite is true in Wano for Kaido and his crew at this point. Sanji has already clashed with King and has a...
