Up until Wano post-timeskip was boring because it always felt like the arcs have been unnecessarily long and dragged out despite them adding almost nothing to the overall story. It's like we had several prolonged Skypea type arcs (great arc) without the feeling of a greater threat or without...
You sure he is not talking about Laugh Tale?
Anyway, sounds more like it's just a teaser for something that will definitely happen but not necessarily this year.
Where is this confirmed?
There is probably an arc in-between where we are heading to new Marineford as teased in the current chapter. If strawhats are obliterated, Luffy will be transported there as a prisoner. It should not be that far since Egghead was WG territory as well, and Akainu seems...
Simple reasons why Imu will win (meaning he will not be defeated and at least cause substantial damage)
1. The final villain needs to be a real threat and show his power
2. Strawhats need a Sabaody-like defeat after timeskip to get power-ups
3. Perfect transition to Ragnarok and escalation...
Sexism and objectification in a manga about pirates. What a twist.
Shakky is just a plot device for Roger being there and to build potential conflict with Garling and that is totally okay. We don't need complex context here.
Fighting for women and treating them as object or slave is...
Hancock is not that important for the overall story and she is strong enough to defend herself.
When it comes to WG, only three women are seen as important:
- Vivi
- Shirahoshi
- Nico Robin
With Buggys speech about claiming One Piece and his flashback and criticism of Shanks, it's clear as day he is not a gag character but is prepared to do something important that will change the outcome of the future.
I am convinced he will mirror Shanks. Taking Rogers will, but with an...
Roger knew so much that he knew he couldn't do anything at his time.
Shirahoshi wasn't even born yet.
Roger was too early and he knew it. Xebec was clueless and speedrunned to the final boss at level 1. That's an achievement, but not enough to end it.
Yeah but Oda did him dirty in Wano, but great character ofc
They are not necessarily bad but Oda was pretty inconsistent post-TS
Samurai and Beast pirates were not that great, while Kaido and King was top tier
Katakuri is great too, but the rest of the BM pirates? Only Perospero and Amande...
We have seen a lot of bad character design choices post-timeskip.
But with Xebec, Loki, Harald and others, we probably had some of the greatest designs this manga has seen.
Elbaf has been great so far.
