We're talking about his real dream... every other character that we know has heard it (Ace, Sabo, Whitebeard, Oden) laughed at the time.
The problem for me is that I haven't heard a reasonable explanation for why Oda chose to write her as only being interested in traveling with Luffy. Saying...
It will, the Chapter 1000 episode is being directed by the same director (Megumi Ishitani).
I watch everything that I can through One Pace, it's so good. Since the start of Wano, and particularly Onigashima, the anime has been adding "filler" which is just expanding on off-panel stuff, instead...
"Oh wow, 8 new pages of the Next Strawhat thread? I wonder why!"... It's mostly shit flinging...
My notes from the chapter are:
Some really nice Luffy-Yamato interactions. It's nice to see she's able to understand Luffy's intentions and competently carry them out. The Yamao nickname is...
The story of One Piece is much better than the fights, and I hope we don't waste too much time watching Sanji come up with random kick names and spend more time expanding on the backstory.
They're extending those things to make up for only adapting ~12 pages per episode. As long as they maintain that pace, the manga will always be ahead by the same amount (manga is 17 pages per chapter, but 2.5-3 chapters per month with breaks), so anime Wano will take the same time as manga Wano.
The grand fleet also consists entirely of people who are already are, or have been, captains for crews, right? Which I guess is why Bellamy makes sense. There are a lot of (former) captains around in Wano (some of the Tobi Roppo, Shishilian, Neko/Inu?) so maybe there could be a grand fleet Wano...
Strawhats don't get sidelined, but we've seen Strawhat candidates get sidelined plenty. Imagine if we had this thread opened and there were people arguing about Nico Robin during Alabasta... "Lol you think it's gonna be Robin and not Vivi? Vivi's been in the spotlight for multiple arcs, and...
Nah... Oda is just a bad writer and he's just trying to slowly write Carrot out of the story, he obviously regrets her entire creation and character arc. (/s) :milaugh:
I voted Zoro because I think it's ridiculous the broken bones got fixed, and Luffy eating his way to 100% is something we've seen many times.
However, this time it seems like he ate himself to 150%, which I do find pretty ridiculous.
Honestly, I feel better about it now. Beating Perospero was an obvious reason to keep her around, but now we see she's around for a different reason... I just don't believe that Oda brought her along for nothing. I also don't think her beating Perospero would have been satisfying, since...
Yamato is one of the more modestly dressed female characters that Oda has given us... certainly more so than Nami, Robin, Hancock, Rebecca, Shirahoshi, Vivi, and Reiju. She doesn't look sexy at all when she's fighting in hybrid form. I guess people just dock points for her being a woman?
How many times has Luffy said "I am the man who's going to become the Pirate King"? Thing is... Luffy was inspired to become the Pirate King by the execution of Gol D Roger, the only man who ever became Pirate King. Luffy is: trying to conquer the Grand Line and get the One Piece, trained by...
