The relative age gauge for Giants-to-Humans is 3:1 (as shown in Harald's introduction)
This is further confirmed when 5 year old Linlin appeared in Elbaf at roughly the same age as Hajrudin, who was 18 giant years old at the time, so 6 human years old flat.
Colon being 20 in Giant years...
Nah just wait until he starts punting 5 year olds in shackles on God Valley. We've yet seen him in a precarious situation where he might get lost in his own sauce and start swordblasting puppies for shits and giggles.
I admit Oda is leaving more interpretation to Rocks' character arc by not...
Loki was a kid by giant standards. He's 19 here. For reference, Colon is 20 in the present timeline. Literally younger than Colon.
Kaido's got a decade in relative age + puberty on him. Not exactly apples and oranges.
So, like, Harald can't be oblivious to the fact that everybody treats Loki like shit right? With the exception of Ida, who Loki clearly struggles to accept sympathy from because he's too paranoid and distrustful from years of poor treatment, everybody else is just kind of a dick to Loki's face...
In Roger's defense, Shanks is being swarmed by geriatric uggos and literally men. Roger meanwhile is getting a full on coochie shot from the canon most beautiful chick in verse.
We don't know how she joined but it wouldn't surprise me if Gloriosa does the same kind of thing on God Valley that Hancock did on Marineford where she just goes rogue and starts attacking her own to protect Luffy. That's a little too on the nose for the parallel-brained though.
The being beaten like an idiot thing is just a silly horny gag from Oda that I can forgive. But the stalking and attempting to kidnap somebody and rid them of their personal liberty, something seemingly antithetical to Roger's whole vibe of being Mr Freedom, was disappointing to me. Can't really...
Doesn't this chapter prove the opposite? Gloriosa was obsessed with Roger like Boa is with Luffy. Roger ended up with Rouge.
If I was a BoaLu shipper right now I'd be seething. Help me see the positive for that agenda
Kaidou is 15 here not 21.
This was "several months" after they took over Hachinosu which happened 44 years ago, so at worst Kaido *might* be 16 (he was 15 when Rocks recruited him in his own flashback).
He is by all rights a complete rookie.
If it's all clean 1v1s until the end, I think Zoro vs Mihawk will probably be a duel that's outside of the crew fight dynamic (mentor/apprentice relationship + too much mutual respect as swordsman for it be a generic pirate fight), assuming nothing happens to Mihawk in the meanwhile like dying...
On the one hand I hope not, would be a lot of wasted potential by Oda.
On the other hand, the story could continue without him rather seamlessly.
Both roads worth traveling, up to him I guess.
Interesting theory. There is definitely something suspicious about Ochoku and the WG's involvement with Hachinosu.
Kaido's line about pirate betrayal continues to stick in my head about the Rocks pirate. Whether he betrayed them, or WB betrayed them, or Ochoku, or some combination of them, or...
