Zoro being able to defeat an opponent that can turn completely invisible will show that his COO (and Breath of all Things?) is top-notch. If Zoro ends up not fighting Mihawk after all of these years, then what's the point of Mihawk existing as a character?

Crocodile is definitely Buggy's business RHM. He also seems to more actively involved in running Cross Guild than Mihawk, so you may be right.
